Hi, I’m Kathryn Lopez, LMFT, PMH-C, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in perinatal mental health, with an additional focus on sex and intimacy concerns within relationships. I work with individuals and couples navigating life transitions that impact identity, emotional connection, and relational well-being.
My work is rooted in helping people feel more understood, more connected, and less alone in what they are carrying. Whether you are feeling stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward, therapy can be a place to slow down, gain clarity, and begin creating meaningful change. I offer a space that is compassionate and supportive, where you do not have to have everything figured out to begin.
Individual sessions are 50 minutes at $225.
Couples sessions are 75 minutes at $275.
A limited number of sliding scale spots are available based on availability.
*All intake sessions (first sessions) are 50 minutes long.
I currently accept insurance for individual therapy only. Couples therapy is self-pay/out-of-pocket. Please let me know if you have any questions.
I have been a Marriage and Family Therapist with a private practice located in the East Bay since 2011. My professional experience encompasses working with diverse social and cultural clients suffering from the chronic illnesses, anxiety symptoms, loss, trauma, depression and relation issues as well as alcohol and chemical dependency. My therapeutic focus is to awake client’s own sense of awareness towards healing and personal growth.
While assessing individual client needs and providing compassionate therapeutic interventions, I specialize in using Mindfulness skills, Time Limited Solution Focused Therapy, Somatic Therapy as well as Guided Imagery. My work with clients leads to a reduction of Anxiety Symptoms and increases personal ability to better self-regulate in life.
In addition to many years of experience in both clinical and private settings, I also have advanced training in Somatic Experiencing from Trauma Institute as well as Integrative Medicine Certification from The Institute for Health & Healing in San Francisco.
