Hi, I'm Jodi Paris. I'm a licensed marriage & family therapist in both California and Florida. Over the last 25 years, I have helped my clients improve their lives and become the best version of themselves. By utilizing various therapy techniques, I increase my clients confidence, personal strengths, self esteem, resilience, as well as strengthen their relationships . My style of therapy is warm and personal. I believe in treating every individual with respect, sensitivity, and compassion while building a strong trustworthy rapport. Together, we will come up with goals and solutions that are going to work best for you, so that you can overcome the personal hurdles which are stopping you from achieving what you want and desire. I have experience in helping clients with relationship issues, parenting issues, motivation, self esteem, confidence, and career difficulties. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, clients can expect a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space where they can begin to share their story. We will explore what brings them to therapy, their current challenges, and what they hope to achieve. I take time to understand their background, experiences, and personal goals while also answering any questions they may have about the therapeutic process. Together, we will begin identifying patterns, strengths, and initial strategies to support their growth. My goal is for clients to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the path ahead.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider are my ability to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly heard and understood. I have a deep sense of empathy and a practical, solution-focused approach that helps clients gain clarity and take meaningful steps toward change. I excel at tailoring therapy to each individual’s unique needs, drawing from evidence-based techniques like CBT, mindfulness, and positive psychology to support personal growth. My ability to balance insight and action allows clients to feel empowered, build resilience, and develop the skills needed to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with women navigating the different stages of life, from young adulthood to midlife and beyond. My clients are often striving for personal growth, balance, and fulfillment but feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or stuck. Whether they are young professionals just starting their careers, new mothers adjusting to life transitions, or women in midlife seeking purpose and clarity, they share a deep desire for change but may not yet have the tools to make it happen. Many struggle with anxiety, self-doubt, grief, or self-esteem challenges as they navigate relationships, career shifts, or personal identity. I help them develop confidence, emotional resilience, and practical strategies to create the life they truly want.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a therapist, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that contribute to anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem challenges, and women's issues. Together, we explore patterns of thinking that may be distorted or self-defeating and work on restructuring them into more balanced and realistic perspectives. I also guide clients in developing coping skills, behavioral strategies, and practical techniques like journaling, reframing, and mindfulness to manage their emotions effectively. By focusing on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, CBT empowers clients to take control of their mental health and create lasting positive change.

Positive Psychology

As a therapist, I use Positive Psychology to help clients build on their strengths and cultivate a more fulfilling and meaningful life, especially when navigating anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem challenges, and women's issues. Rather than focusing solely on problems, I guide clients in recognizing their resilience, fostering gratitude, and developing a growth mindset. By emphasizing what is going well and harnessing inner strengths, Positive Psychology empowers clients to create a more balanced and optimistic outlook on life.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

As a therapist, I use Mindfulness-Based Therapy to help clients cultivate awareness, acceptance, and presence in their daily lives, especially when managing anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem challenges, and women's issues. Through mindfulness practices, I guide clients in observing their thoughts and emotions without judgment, reducing reactivity, and increasing self-compassion. By fostering a nonjudgmental and accepting attitude, Mindfulness-Based Therapy empowers clients to navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and emotional balance.
