I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 10 years of experience. I provide compassionate, trauma-informed care for individuals, couples, and families. I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief/ loss relationship challenges, and past trauma. My goal is to help you feel grounded, understood, and empowered as you build insight, resilience, and meaningful change in your life.
I am a mother of 3 children and the founder of Groundwork Counseling Center a non profit organization.
I work from a trauma-informed, somatic, and mindfulness-based approach that honors the whole person. I guide with compassion, supporting you in cultivating confidence, self-awareness, and a sense of wellness. Healing is a collaborative process of self-discovery and internal alignment. I prioritize creating a safe, non-judgmental, and culturally affirming space where you can freely express yourself, fostering growth, empowerment, and lasting transformation. I value guiding with empathy and supporting individuals on their journey of self-discovery. My approach emphasizes practical solutions, healthy coping, and deep healing while drawing on evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with integrative and holistic methods tailored to each person’s needs.
I started out as a kid from Queens, NY who volunteered on the weekends working with individuals with autism while I was in high school. That propelled me into the world of social services. From there, I worked with individuals with severe psychiatric concerns, to families in need throughout NYC, the shelter system, students in higher education, residential group homes for system impacted adolescence and community mental health in the Southern California region. I believe we all have our stories from lived experiences that play a direct role in our daily struggles. This is why I utilize a psychodynamic & mindfulness approach that helps folks to understand what factors of their past feeds the stressors of their present and how to live more freely in the “now”.
Welcome! I'm John Dias.
I work with adolescents and adults. Working through the lens of the effects of trauma and shame; I have helped these populations to manage and/or alleviate psychological and emotional struggles that result in anxiety, depression, and poor coping skills. I use an integrative approach to find what model suits each clients needs. In doing this, I have helped clients feel more apart of their journey in therapy. Helping them feel more secure and safe in a process that can be scary to some.

I’m an LCSW with over 20 years experience in counseling individuals, couples, and groups. I specialize in issues of self esteem, relationships, and in helping clients find out exactly what they need in order to feel confident, calm, hopeful, and on-track.
Often, new clients come in with some degree of anxiety, depression, or both. Don't worry if this is true for you. I'm highly experienced and my clients have told me they've benefited greatly in reduction of these symptoms.
I don't believe that pain is useful in any way. I believe in insight, relief, and healing as quickly as possible.
My style is inquisitive and interactive — I want to know what you need to tell me. I want to know what is causing your life to be anything less than pleasant, safe, and manageable. I want you to be okay, to feel okay, and to be confident in yourself and in your choices and relationships: I want you to feel certain that you are worthy, and that it is good to be you.
And while most of my clients do present with some degree of past trauma, or injury to their sense of being worthy and needed, the fact is that life is not easy for anyone. But if we are carrying unhealed wounds, every setback or disappointment can bring back pain from the past.
I find that once the major wound of how we see ourselves is healed, then the rest of life’s problems are much easier to resolve.
So whether anxiety or depression, or conflict in a relationship has brought you here; I'm ready to help you find out what you want and need, and what's in the way.
I don't believe in suffering. I do believe in relief, in hope, and learning how to undo pain.
Have you been feeling stuck? Having difficulty connecting in your relationships? Or have been wanting to explore underlying core beliefs or unresolved trauma that have been impacting your relationships with friends, family, and/or even the relationship with yourself? The journey to unpacking and challenging those core beliefs is a gift to yourself.
My experience includes working with BIPOC individuals, individuals who have been diagnosed with ADHD* by a psychologist/psychiatrist, and women who struggle with depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. But most importantly, working alongside individuals who are struggling returning to their baseline.
Taking the time to look for a therapist that best fits your current needs is important. If you are reading this and it aligns with your emotional and mental needs I would love to join you on this journey towards healing. These weekly or biweekly sessions are dedicated for you and only you. I am looking forward to beginning this journey with you.
*DISCLAIMER: Under my license, it is out scope to diagnose a person with ADHD. However, I have experience in working with individuals who are having difficulties with managing attention/impulse/hyperactive behaviors. A formal ADHD diagnoses requires an extensive evaluation from a trained psychologist or psychiatrist.
Welcome, and congratulations on starting your healing journey!

Craig Steckowski is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based out of California and serves clients in both California and Virginia. He served in the Marine Corps prior to attending Alliant University in Irvine, CA for his therapy Master’s degree. After school, Craig then went on to work in Orange County. He was an advocate with the court system for mental health treatment and rehabilitation from chemical dependency. He also spent some time working for an agency that provided support to the homeless population and later, in a community clinic in New Hampshire where he helped to create services that met the needs of the community.
Each of these experiences helped to shape Craig’s philosophy toward therapy, which is that therapy should be a non-judgemental, welcoming space for his clients to be their unfiltered, authentic selves. “I just truly want therapy to be a place that you look forward to and value,” he wants clients to know. “It’s your space, and nothing you say, do, or experience is going to change my perception of you.”
His main goal as a therapist is to connect with his clients and offer them a place of solid, consistent, and positive support that they can depend on. He prioritizes maintaining a low enough caseload that clients can maintain a regular therapy schedule with him. He also encourages his clients to reach out between sessions if need be. “If you need me to be your hype man and help you through something, I’ll be there.”
In his free time, Craig focuses on doing things that help rejuvenate him which includes spending time outside and quality time with his wife. He also regularly seeks professional support from a trusted mentor in the field to ensure he is practicing mindfully and ethically.

You’ve probably done a lot to keep things going—managing work, relationships, family, and everything else life throws at you. On the outside, it might look like you’re holding it all together. But inside, it feels like something’s not quite right. Maybe you’re anxious, overwhelmed, burned out, or just disconnected from yourself. You may not have the words for it yet—but you know something needs to change.
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and I specialize in working with adults who are high-functioning on the surface but silently struggling underneath. My clients are often caretakers, overthinkers, and perfectionists who carry a lot of shame, self-doubt, or old wounds they’ve never been given the space to process. Many of them don’t realize how much pain they’ve been holding for years—until they finally slow down and begin to feel it.
In our work together, we won’t just talk about what’s going on—we’ll explore what’s underneath it. I use EMDR, parts work, and trauma-informed care to help you untangle the beliefs, patterns, and protective strategies that are keeping you stuck. Therapy with me is honest, grounding, and deeply compassionate. I’ll meet you where you are, and we’ll go at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.
This is a space where you don’t have to be the strong one. You don’t have to make sense of it all before you show up. You just have to be willing to start. I’d be honored to walk with you through the healing process.

Although I switched out of that profession, I greatly value the critical thinking and problem solving skills that I learned while studying and working as an engineer. I think that those skills make me a better therapist.

I create a space of deep listening and acceptance where you can explore your inner world safely and honestly. By helping you understand and care for the parts of yourself that carry pain or conflict, we ease anxiety and depression and open the door to greater balance and emotional freedom.
I’m a first-generation, Vietnamese, transgender, and queer therapist who brings both professional training and lived experience to the work. My approach is rooted in empathy, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story.
In my practice, I often draw from EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help clients process trauma and experiences in a way that feels restorative. EMDR supports the brain’s natural healing by using bilateral stimulation—like eye or auditory movements —to reprocess memories and reduce their emotional intensity.
I also use Narrative Therapy, which invites clients to explore the stories they’ve been told or have come to believe about themselves. Together, we uncover how those stories were shaped—by culture, relationships, systems, or past experiences—and work toward reclaiming narratives that center resilience, agency, and authenticity.
I understand the importance of creating a space where clients feel seen, affirmed, and safe to show up as their full selves. Whether you’re navigating trauma, identity exploration, or simply seeking to reconnect with yourself, I’m here support you in that process with care, collaboration, and accountability.
Are you looking for a mental health letter for gender-affirming surgery? I write those! Feel free to reach out for short-term therapy services to complete the letter assessment process with me.
My practice uses old fashioned, human-generated tools and information methodically accumulated over years of community and evidenced based research. I do not use AI programs at any point in the therapeutic process.

I was born in the US, but I was raised in Mexico. I lived in Tijuana for 10 years when my parents decided to move us across the border to Chula Vista, California. As a first-generation Mexican-American, I experienced a duality of cultures. I was often judged for either being “not Mexican enough” OR “not American enough.” I also faced enormous pressure to be successful – to justify my parents’ having left their beloved country so my sibling and I could have a better life. This is one of many reasons I decided to follow this path: to help those who feel alone in their journey. That’s how I felt when acculturating to this country.
I earned my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) at San Diego State University (SDSU). I was going to go directly into the workforce and eventually go back for my master’s, but an awesome professor challenged me to apply right away so I wouldn’t lose momentum. So, that’s what I did. I ended up getting my Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of Southern California. It took some time and courage to finish all my licensing requirements, but it was worth it! I’ve been licensed as a clinical social worker in California since 2019. I am certified in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused CBT.

I've worked in the community for over ten years and understand the importance of of intersectionality. I'm Accepting new clients online in California and Florida. I help clients challenged by boundaries, restless thoughts and big shifts in life. I specialize in treating people from underrepresented communities. This includes women, LGBTQI, People of Color, and more.
I strive to create a non-judgmental environment to explore conscious and unconscious patterns and beliefs that contribute to current challenges. I have typically worked with clients challenged by identity, gender, sexuality, depression, anxiety, shame, guilt, life transitions and relationship issues.
Difficulty relaxing? Constantly overthinking? Overwhelmed by your emotions?
Feeling stuck?
My name is Danielle, and I specialize in supporting women who are struggling to manage anxiety, panic, low self-esteem, PTSD and/or a pattern of unhealthy relationships. Women who may be frustrated that their coping tools are no longer working, or those who feel ready to shift from managing their emotional pain to healing it.
Although it can be therapeutic to talk about our problems, I believe that we need to feel our emotions to truly heal. I specialize in using Brainspotting and somatic techniques to support you in healing emotional stress/trauma and creating a stronger relationship with yourself.
I approach therapy with an open mind and heart, providing a safe space to address your concerns without shame or judgment. I believe that you are the expert on yourself, and my role is to support and guide you toward healing whatever is keeping you stuck.
I am a California Licensed Clinical Social Worker with approximately 14 years of experience working with adults and youth. I am compassionate, and curious therapist and in my practice, I create a safe and trusting environment, providing my clients with the emotional support needed to overcome challenging issues and make positive adjustments to be and feel your best. My approach helps clients find their own way through reflection, self care and self compassion.
