In my practice, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) within a trauma-informed care framework to support clients struggling with depression and anxiety, self-esteem and body image, as well as relationship issues across all areas of their lives including family, friendships, work dynamics, and romantic partnerships. Recognizing the impact of trauma on these patterns, I create a safe and empathetic environment where clients feel validated and understood. My structured approach helps clients develop practical skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. For self-esteem and body image concerns, I focus on helping clients cultivate self-compassion and challenge negative self-talk through mindfulness and acceptance strategies, while remaining mindful of their trauma history. In addressing relationship issues, I guide clients in developing healthier communication styles, strengthening boundaries, and improving their ability to connect with others in a way that feels safe and sustainable. By integrating these techniques, I empower clients to navigate their emotions more effectively, improve their self-perception, and foster more fulfilling and supportive relationships of all kinds.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During the first session, we will go over precipitating events for therapy, pertinent family influences on presenting problem, coping skills that have worked in the past, collaborate on treatment goals and set expectations for subsequent sessions.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I believe one of the greatest gifts you can offer another person is your genuine, undivided attention. I strive to create a warm, caring, and compassionate environment where clients feel truly seen and heard. The feedback I most consistently receive is that I never give up on them.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I enjoy working with women who struggle with self-esteem, body image, and disordered eating patterns. My goal is to empower women to rediscover themselves, strengthen their voices, and cultivate self-acceptance so they can become the best version of who they want to be. I believe the most important relationship anyone will ever have is the one they build with themselves. I have experience working with clients who are highly motivated as well as those who are still developing readiness for change, and feel confident supporting individuals across this spectrum.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I enjoy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which offers a structured and collaborative way to understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another. We would begin with a thorough assessment to get a clear picture of your history, concerns, and goals. From there, we would set specific, achievable objectives to guide our work. In session, we would explore patterns that may be contributing to your distress, including unhelpful thoughts or behaviors. Using CBT techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and skill-building exercises, I would help you develop healthier ways of thinking and coping. Between sessions, gentle homework assignments would give you the chance to practice these skills in your everyday life, supporting lasting change. Throughout therapy, we would regularly check in on your progress to ensure the work continues to meet your evolving needs and helps you move toward improved well-being.
Trauma Informed Care
Working from a trauma-informed framework means I approach every client with the understanding that past experiences, both big and small, can shape how they think, feel, and interact with the world today. My goal is to ensure that therapy always feels safe, collaborative, and empowering. A trauma-informed lens guides not only the interventions I choose, but also how I build the therapeutic relationship.

I chose Jamie because I was embarking on a weight loss journey and saw that she dealt with eating disorders - although I don't have one, I want to heal my relationship with food, and she's been great for helping me change my mindset on that. But beyond that, she's helped me to go outside of my comfort zone regarding relationship issues with family members, which has lead to relationship improvements and she continues to encourage me to focus on myself and making positive changes.
