Many of my clients are women who appear strong on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted on the inside. You may be struggling with high-functioning depression, relationship anxiety, or the pressure to hold everything together while quietly feeling stuck or burned out. Therapy can be a place where you don’t have to be the strong one, where you can slow down, understand yourself, and start to feel relief. I specialize in working with women navigating eating disorders, trauma, caregiver burnout, and the lasting impact of difficult family relationships. Many of my clients are adult daughters of emotionally complicated or challenging parents who are learning to set boundaries, heal old wounds, and break patterns that no longer serve them. I also work with clients who struggle with relationship anxiety, self-doubt, and feeling “not good enough” despite being capable and successful. My approach is warm, supportive, and practical. Together we work to understand patterns, reduce anxiety, and build tools you can use in everyday life. Clients often tell me they appreciate having a therapist who is both compassionate and honest, and who helps them make real progress, not just talk about problems. Therapy with me is a space where you can be fully yourself while working toward meaningful change. Whether you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready to grow, we will move at a pace that feels safe and supportive.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During the first session, we will go over precipitating events for therapy, pertinent family influences on presenting problem, coping skills that have worked in the past, collaborate on treatment goals and set expectations for subsequent sessions.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I believe one of the most meaningful things you can offer someone is your full, authentic presence. I work to cultivate a warm, compassionate space where clients feel deeply understood, respected, and genuinely heard. Whether in longer-term work or brief, solution-focused therapy, I strive to create an environment where clients feel safe, supported, and able to make meaningful progress within the time we have together.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I enjoy working with people who struggle with self-esteem, body image concerns, and disordered eating patterns. I also support clients experiencing higher-acuity concerns, including self-harm and suicidal thoughts, and provide a safe, steady space to talk openly about difficult emotions. My goal is to help women reconnect with themselves, strengthen their voices, and build genuine self-acceptance. I believe the most important relationship we have is the one we build with ourselves, and that belief guides my work.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I enjoy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which offers a structured and collaborative way to understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another. We would begin with a thorough assessment to get a clear picture of your history, concerns, and goals. From there, we would set specific, achievable objectives to guide our work. In session, we would explore patterns that may be contributing to your distress, including unhelpful thoughts or behaviors. Using CBT techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and skill-building exercises, I would help you develop healthier ways of thinking and coping. Between sessions, gentle homework assignments would give you the chance to practice these skills in your everyday life, supporting lasting change. Throughout therapy, we would regularly check in on your progress to ensure the work continues to meet your evolving needs and helps you move toward improved well-being.
Attachment-based
I utilize an attachment-based therapy approach to help clients understand how early relational experiences shape current patterns in relationships, emotional regulation, and self-worth. My work focuses on identifying attachment styles, increasing awareness of relational triggers, and strengthening secure functioning through corrective emotional experiences within the therapeutic relationship. I integrate exploration of core beliefs, nervous system regulation, and boundary development to support clients in building healthier, more secure connections with themselves and others.

I chose Jamie because I was embarking on a weight loss journey and saw that she dealt with eating disorders - although I don't have one, I want to heal my relationship with food, and she's been great for helping me change my mindset on that. But beyond that, she's helped me to go outside of my comfort zone regarding relationship issues with family members, which has lead to relationship improvements and she continues to encourage me to focus on myself and making positive changes.

Therapy with Jamie is soothing. I feel in peace, knowing she listens to my feelings and doesn’t judge me. She is realistic and has the hability to ground me. I love my sessions with her, they are empowering
