New to Grow
While depression and anxiety may often be very reasonable responses to your life experiences and the state of the world, that doesn't mean you have to suffer alone, or that you cannot experience ease. You deserve support. I work collaboratively to unpack the impact of systems, intersectional identities, and relationships on your well-being. I strive to create an environment where you can safely lean into difficult feelings and process your past and present without shame or judgment. Together, we’ll explore healing not only as an individual journey, but as an act of empowerment and transformation.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In your first session, you can expect a warm, collaborative space where we’ll get to know each other and begin building a foundation of trust. I’ll invite you to share what brings you to therapy, your goals, and anything that feels important for me to understand about your experiences. We’ll explore what support looks like for you and outline a plan that feels both comfortable and empowering as we move forward.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My approach is to tailor treatment to your needs by drawing from various modalities. I integrate trauma-informed care, CBT, narrative, art, and somatic practices, with culturally sensitive and spiritually informed perspectives. I am currently training in Internal Family Systems and CBTi (for insomnia). I truly believe in our human capacity for positive change and growth, and therapy’s effectiveness in being a part of that change.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Are you struggling with depression and anxiety? The weight of cultural expectations and figuring out your identity? Interpersonal issues and self-esteem? Stress from trying to find balance and meaning in your life? If you are committed to your growth and healing and willing to challenge and show up for yourself consistently, then I look forward to working with you.
Relational
I draw on a deeply relational approach that centers the healing power of authentic connection. Meaningful change often comes not from techniques alone, but from the experience of being genuinely seen, understood, and supported. In our sessions, I pay close attention to the patterns that emerge between us, such as how you relate, how you protect yourself, how you long to be met, and we use this dynamic as a safe, real-time space for exploration and growth. By slowing down together and staying curious about your emotional experience, we uncover the beliefs and behaviors that may be keeping you stuck. This relational work helps you build confidence, develop new ways of connecting with others, and create a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) can help make sense of the patterns that shape how you think, feel, and act. It can be empowering when you learn to identify unhelpful thoughts, challenge them with evidence, and practice new behaviors that support healthier emotional responses. In our sessions, we work collaboratively to break overwhelming problems into manageable steps, using tools such as thought records, behavior activation, and skill-building exercises. I tailor each intervention to your unique needs and pace, ensuring the process feels supportive rather than prescriptive. As you develop these skills, you gain greater clarity, emotional resilience, and a sense of control—creating lasting change both in daily life and in your overall well-being.
Narrative
Your problems are not who you are, but stories shaped by experiences, relationships, and cultural messages. In our sessions, we explore the narratives that have influenced how you see yourself, especially the ones that may be limiting your sense of possibility, and gently separate you from the problem so we can examine it together. We look for overlooked strengths, values, and moments of resilience, using them to craft alternative stories that feel more aligned with who you want to be. This approach helps you reconnect with your agency, widen your sense of identity, and build a narrative that supports healing, meaning, and emotional well-being.
