New to Grow
Hi, I’m Cynthia. If you’re feeling anxious, depressed, or uncertain about how to move forward, I’ll work with you to understand what’s happening, develop coping strategies, and break free from difficult cycles. These are challenging times, and it’s natural to feel overwhelmed by all there is to process. Therapy offers a supportive space to sort through it together and reconnect with your goals, values, and strengths—helping you move toward the life you want.
In our first session, you’ll have space to share what feels most important to you, at your own pace. I’ll explain my approach, background, and essentials around confidentiality, privacy, and logistics so you feel comfortable moving forward. Together, we’ll begin exploring what brings you here and collaborate on a plan that feels supportive, empowering, and aligned with your goals.
I’m middle-aged—I’ve seen a lot and done a lot! I'm real, and I speak with thoughtfulness, kindness, and candor. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable sharing anything, and clients often tell me they appreciate the sense of ease and support that comes from working together.
I work with adults of all ages and genders. I have a special focus on supporting women during major life transitions—whether entering adulthood, navigating career and relationship changes, or moving into middle and older stages of life. As a first-gen LatinX therapist, I understand issues around cultural identity, bias, and assimilation.
What I like most about DBT is the idea that there are skills that we can hone, to improve how we approach relationships and communication, better handle stress and crises, and be more mindful of ourselves and our environments.
Many of us have struggled with persistent, negative and unhelpful thoughts and beliefs. Identifying them and changing them, when appropriate, can be really powerful.
Exploring how our past experiences continue to affect us (consciously and not) can have profound impacts on how we feel and function.
We also explore your strengths, what's working in your life, and how to build on those things to continue grow and feel more fulfilled.
I'm a first-generation LatinX woman. I'm an ally to all races, ages, ethnicities, and genders.
