Life is weird, and having help can help. As a therapist, I tend to be both challenging and supportive. I am focused on real and genuine relationships with folks that help people choose how to define their goals in terms of what is important to them. I care a lot about the people who work with me, and I think that comes across in my relationships. As I am sure you can see via the Grow reviews, I am honest and direct, qualities I find many people appreciate in a therapeutic relationship but I also understand those are not for everyone. Therapy can also be hard work, but that doesn't mean it has to be a hard time. I've been in the field long enough to know how normal having problems is. The people I work with appreciate that therapy can be a place to laugh, cry, and sometimes both at the same time. In terms of modalities, a lot of the work I do centers on the therapeutic relationship, with elements of narrative work, CBT, person-centered therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and general talk therapy. I don't use Grow's AI transcription, and I didn't use AI to write this, if that is important to you to know.

I started helping those who are seeking to up-level their experiences and shine as their true and authentic selves in 2019. My journey first started in residential treatment facilities where I held space for those in early recovery from substance use disorders. This population ranged from men's only, women's only and LGBTQ+ Many of these individuals also struggled with anxiety, depression, trauma and eating disorders. I have also had the opportunity to work with adolescents at risk of sex trafficking. This work is extremely rewarding as the clients are at an age where they are most influential and willing. I am a deeply spiritual person and practice in the study of yoga and meditation and participate in somatic healings such as Kundalini Light Intergration (KALI) and breathworks. I am also a level two Reiki practitioner (training to become a master) and a certified personal trainer. When I am not holding space for healing, I enjoy being in the outdoors, surfing, climbing, reading and cooking nutritious and fun to eat meals. I hope to continue the journey of providing a safe space for individuals where healing can occur for years to come. I offer sessions both early in the morning (5am - 7am) and later in the evening (6pm - 9pm) to accommodate those who work nine to five or those who just prefer early morning or evening therapy sessions.

Hi! My name is Tomer, I'm a Psychotherapist based in Los Angeles, and I have been working in the field of psychology for the past 8 years. I graduated from California State University Northridge with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and furthered my education at Antioch University- Los Angeles, where I obtained a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy. I’ve had the privilege of working with different demographics in a wide range of therapeutic environments. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that something isn't OK right now. That something might be new, or it might have been around a long time. You might be able to describe it perfectly, or you might just feel off without knowing why. Either way — you're here, and that's the only thing that matters right now. I start from wherever you are. No assumptions, no judgments, no one-size-fits-all approach. Just a genuine desire to understand you — what's brought you here, what you're carrying, and what you're hoping for. Therapy with me — whether you're coming alone or with a partner — tends to be honest and occasionally even a little lighthearted. The human experience isn't black and white, and neither is the work we'll do together. What stays consistent is that you'll have a space that belongs to you, where nothing you say or feel changes how I show up for you. For couples, that space belongs to both of you equally. I don't take sides. What I do is help you see the pattern you're both caught in — because most of the time it's the cycle doing the damage, not each other. When that shifts, something else becomes possible. No matter what it is you are navigating — depression, relationships, identity, or the gap between how you show up and how you actually feel inside — you don't have to have it figured out to reach out.

I am Dr. Audrey Levy. I live on a boat, and my private practice hours are available 24/7 by appointment only. I also make house calls. I am experienced in helping my clients deal with issues such as Anxiety, Depression, Stress Reduction, Loss and Grief Recovery, Substance Abuse, Anger Management and Crisis Counseling. I provide a calm, empathetic, and nurturing environment where you will feel heard, and most importantly, understood. Together we will work on ways to help you understand your feelings and compulsions. My grieving clients experience closure through writing letters to their loved ones who have died. This letter writing is effective for all forms of loss. Reading the letters aloud is very healing as it encourages acceptance, and permits moving on to build a life filled with love and laughter. As a Doctor of Psychology and psychotherapist for 45+ years, I've dealt with my own grief and loss by writing the nonfiction book, "Doggie Wisdom for Humans: Advice from Dogs for Humans of All Ages," and an autobiographical fiction series, "The Adventures of the Angel Oleo." I am an affirmative therapist and am LGBTQIA+ allied (I myself identify as gender queer and pansexual), BLM allied, Indigenous/native allied, API allied, Latinx allied, Disability allied, Deaf allied, Vegan allied (I myself am Vegan), and polyamory allied. I specialize in serving patients suffering suicide loss at any stage of the loss. I also specialize in attachment/family systems informed individual care and CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia). I also hold particular interest and experience in serving adults with ASD, ID or DD, adult children of narcissists, those who have suffered brainwashing and those who have suffered paranormal trauma. I have years of experience in serving patients with a multitude of mental health and relational difficulties. I consider my orientation as a therapist to be first and foremost client-centered and strength-based. Although I utilize various therapeutic approaches, I chiefly consider myself to be a narrative/Rogerian therapist. This means that I work to help my patients take back the power and control over their own stories and assist them by co-authoring a narrative that truly witnesses and respects their traumas, tragedies, injustices, achievements, triumphs, milestones, strengths, and resiliency. I do this while holding empathy, congruency and unconditional positive regard as my three major tenants in the therapeutic alliance. I specialize in therapy for: adult individuals suffering depression, anxiety, interpersonal/relational difficulties, traumatic grief, suicide loss, relational and attachment traumas, victims of psychological torture/emotional abuse/brainwashing, adult children of narcissists, sufferers of paranormal traumas, military and first-responder trauma, vegans, LGBTQIA+, adults with Autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disability (ID), Developmental disabilities (DD), people struggling with life stressors, and those struggling with identity.

I’m a person-centered and trauma-informed therapist who believes therapy should feel like a real conversation with a real person. My approach is warm, curious, and down-to-earth, and I care deeply about creating a space where you can be completely yourself; whether you’re working through anxiety, relationships, trauma, life transitions, or simply trying to understand yourself on a deeper level. I blend talk therapy with approaches like EMDR, somatic work, mindfulness, and inner-child/attachment work, while always tailoring therapy to the person in front of me. I see therapy as a place to understand what you’ve been carrying, reconnect with yourself, and ultimately create a life with a little less suffering and a lot more intention.

You might be at a turning point. Drained by work or the people around you, running on empty after years of giving more than you had to give, or trying to find your footing after a major life change. Maybe you're realizing how much of yourself you've set aside for others, or you're not sure who you are outside of a role you've outgrown. These are the kinds of crossroads I help people navigate. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Sacramento. My background spans community mental health, residential treatment, and crisis intervention, with extensive experience in trauma and addiction recovery. Before that, 15 years in the arts and nonprofit world gave me a close-up view of the burnout that people who give a lot of themselves often carry quietly, which is a big part of why that work speaks to me now.

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in California. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across California from San Francisco to San Diego! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in California.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Depression, is filtering therapists in California that work with patients with similar concerns.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
