My approach is all about gaining valuable insights, complemented by providing practical skills whenever they can make a real impact. Openness and honesty are at the heart of our interaction, ensuring that our sessions are valuable. I also value a back and forth conversation that feels like we are accomplishing something, and I will give insight and feedback where I feel its helpful. Your decision to seek help is a significant step toward personal growth, and I'm here to help you enhance your life in meaningful ways. In our first session together, here's what you can expect

At our first session we will discuss what invited you to seek therapy now and get to know each other a little. We will discuss how therapy can be helpful and discuss a plan for treatment including emotional process, scheduling and what you can expect from the process. I want this to feel inviting, calm and comfortable as I know how anxious having a first session can be.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I specialize in depression, anxiety, life stressors, parenting and family issues, substance use, and trauma.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with clients that are seeking therapy support to discuss their emotions and current life struggles. I enjoy working with individuals who are either unsure of the therapy process or have been in therapy for years. I welcome all who are starting this new journey who are looking to feel better and life happy healthy lives. Starting therapy is brave and you're taking the first step.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I use EMDR to help clients who struggle with anxiety, overthinking, mood swings, low self-esteem, or feeling easily overwhelmed or triggered. Together, we work through past experiences and painful patterns that may still be affecting how you feel about yourself, your relationships, and your everyday life so you can feel calmer, more confident and less stuck.

Attachment-based

I use Attachment-based therapy to help you understand why you may struggle with relationships, people- pleasing, fear of rejection, low self-worth, or repeating the same patterns even when you know they aren't working. We explore how past relationships and experiences shaped the way you see yourself and connect with others, building healthier patterns, stronger boundaries, and more secure relationships.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I use IFS to help you understand the different sides of yourself- like the part that overthinks, people-pleases, shuts down, gets anxious, or feels like you're never doing enough. Instead of judging these reactions, we'll get curious about where they come from and what they're trying to protect you from. I often use this with EMDR to help you better understand yourself, heal old patterns, and invite more self-compassion.

Humanistic

I have extensive experience working with people who have been through difficult, overwhelming, and traumatic experiences. You don't have to minimize what you've been through or worry that you're "too much" here. My approach is warm, genuine, and nonjudgemental, while bringing the experience to help you safely work through the hard stuff - together.

I've been working with Morgan for over a year and can't speak highly enough of her. I've noticed a major difference in my anxiety and how I can approach difficult relationships in my life. She's given me so many tools to use in my day-to-day and has been incredibly supportive.

Morgan is very welcoming and allows me to talk about my feelings/emotions without feeling like I'm being judged. She allows me to express myself and then provides feedback for me to reflect on.
