About me

I’m a warm, grounded, and collaborative therapist who believes therapy should be built around the person—not the other way around. I work with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationships, family challenges, pregnancy and parenthood, and times when you simply feel stuck. My approach draws from person-centered therapy, CBT, and solution-focused work. I believe therapy can be both practical and deeper, learning tools to manage what’s happening now while also exploring the patterns and experiences underneath it. Some people need clear strategies and direction; others need space to slow down and process. Most of us need some combination of both. You know yourself better than I ever could. My role is to bring clinical knowledge, curiosity, and support while we figure out together what will actually be helpful for you. I’ll meet you where you are, genuinely listen, and also challenge you when I think it could help you move forward.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a chance to slow down, tell me what brought you in, and start making sense of what you’re experiencing. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what you’ve tried, what you want to be different, and what you hope to get from therapy. When helpful, we may also use assessments to better understand what you’re experiencing and establish a baseline. You’ll leave with a clearer sense of what we’ll focus on and what comes next.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

genuinely care about the people I work with, and I think that matters. I bring warmth, curiosity, and a willingness to really listen. I’ll hold space for you without judgment, but I’ll also gently challenge you when I think it could help you move forward. I believe you are the expert on yourself. I may have clinical knowledge and experience, but you know your life, relationships, and experiences better than I ever could. My job is to bring those perspectives together. I want you to feel heard and understood while also leaving therapy with greater clarity, practical tools, and a sense of direction. Most importantly, I want our work to feel collaborative. We’ll figure out what matters to you, what you want to change, and what approaches actually work for you rather than forcing you into a predetermined formula.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client isn’t defined by a particular age, diagnosis, or life circumstance. I’ve worked with teens, adults, parents, and older adults with a wide range of concerns, and I value the perspective that every person brings into therapy. What matters most to me is finding the right therapeutic relationship. You may be coming in knowing exactly what you want to work on, or you may just know that something needs to change. You might be highly motivated, unsure about therapy, or even a little resistant to the idea of being here. All of those are okay. I’m not a “here’s your worksheet, see you next week” kind of therapist. I’m more of a “let’s try this and see what happens” therapist. We’ll use what’s actually helpful, adjust when something isn’t working, and figure out what makes sense for you. My ideal client is someone who is willing to show up honestly and work with me to figure things out even if they aren’t sure where to start. I also have specialized training in perinatal mental health and welcome clients navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition into parenthood. You don’t have to have everything figured out before therapy begins. That’s part of what we can work on together.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We’ll look at the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and find practical ways to shift patterns that aren't working for you.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I’ll meet you where you are, listen without judgment, and work alongside you rather than telling you what you “should” do. You know yourself better than I do, and your perspective matters in deciding what we work on.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

We’ll stay connected to what you want to change and look for realistic steps that can help you move forward, rather than getting stuck only focusing on the problem.
