About me

I am a clinician interested in understanding the human experience and empowering the client to remember their wholeness, intelligence, and goodness. I strive to create opportunities for the client to relax and open up to the joys in life. I look to find ways to connect the client back to themselves, to have a fuller, more honest, authentic and compassionate relationship with themselves and the world.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session I will collect some history, and talk about your goals for therapy. The first few sessions will offer a chance for us to get to know each other and see if it is a good fit. In my view, it is important that the client feel comfortable with their therapist and feel free to say what they need. In the first session I will go over what you may expect during your time in therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I often integrate the mind, emotions, and the body into therapy. It is my view, that once we are aware of our own thoughts, feelings, and sensations, we can better give and receive from our relationships and the world. Nature is often an important relationship in our busy lives, and reconnecting to it's beauty and majesty can be very healing for some clients. In a world where we are often left to feel isolated, my therapeutic approach is to support clients to feel connected and brings a sense of belonging and meaning back into their lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I like to work with clients who are willing to explore themselves and the world; sometimes in therapy it can be helpful to practice "not knowing" and humility as we let go of the old and make our way in a new direction. It has been my experience that much of the suffering and neurosis we experience comes from our anxiety and fear. The work I hope to offer highlights the client's ability to open both mentally and somatically and relax; when we know what is in our control and what is not we learn to trust ourselves more deeply.
