Hi, I’m glad you’re here. For over 12 years, I’ve been passionate about helping people move through difficult seasons of life and create positive, lasting change. My background includes work in education along with earning my Master’s degree in Counseling from the The University of Texas at San Antonio. I’ve had the opportunity to support both adults and children in diverse settings, including private practice, nonprofit organizations, the United States Navy, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. I approach therapy with compassion and curiosity, recognizing that each person’s journey is unique, and I work collaboratively with clients to foster healing, growth, and greater confidence moving forward.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we’ll focus on building a strong foundation for our work together. We’ll begin with introductions and spend some time getting to know one another so you can feel comfortable in the process. I’ll gather some background information and invite you to share what has brought you to therapy, including any challenges or concerns you may be experiencing right now. From there, we’ll begin identifying your goals and creating a plan that feels personalized to your unique needs. My goal is to provide a space that feels supportive, collaborative, and centered on helping you move toward meaningful and lasting change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

With over 12 years of professional counseling experience, I bring a broad depth of knowledge, insight, and perspective to the work I do with clients. I’m often described as approachable and easy to talk to, and I place a strong emphasis on creating a space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. My approach is both client-centered and goal-oriented, meaning our work together is guided by your unique needs, priorities, and the changes that matter most to you. I work with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including life transitions, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Above all, I want each person to leave our sessions feeling supported, empowered, and more confident in their ability to move forward in a meaningful way.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with adults at every stage of life—from college students finding their footing in early adulthood, to professionals balancing the demands of work and personal life, to individuals navigating the complexities of midlife and beyond. Each season of life brings its own opportunities, challenges, and transitions, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients through those experiences. I support individuals facing concerns such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, burnout, caregiving stress, trauma, grief, loss, and other significant life changes. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, uncertain, or simply looking for greater balance and fulfillment, I strive to provide a supportive space where you can feel understood, gain insight, and move toward meaningful growth and healing.

My treatment methods

Integrative

I believe therapy should be personalized because every person’s experiences, challenges, and goals are different. Rather than using the same approach for everyone, I draw from a variety of evidence-based techniques and tailor therapy to fit your unique needs, personality, and what feels most helpful to you. Together, we will focus on understanding the challenges you’re facing and finding strategies that support meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to create a flexible and collaborative therapeutic experience that meets you where you are, using the tools and approaches that best support your growth, healing, and overall well-being.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps you understand how your thoughts shape the way you feel and respond to the world around you. Sometimes we develop patterns of thinking that increase anxiety, keep us stuck in self-criticism, or make it difficult to move forward. Through CBT, we work together to identify those patterns, shift unhelpful beliefs, and build practical tools that help you navigate challenges with greater confidence, resilience, and emotional well-being. It’s a collaborative, empowering approach focused on creating meaningful change in everyday life.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing helps people better understand the internal barriers that keep them feeling stuck while building confidence to move toward the life they want. I use this approach to help clients explore difficult decisions, strengthen motivation, overcome self-doubt, and create meaningful change in a way that feels empowering, supportive, and aligned with their personal values.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy helps you learn how to respond to life’s challenges with greater flexibility, self-awareness, and compassion while staying grounded in what matters most to you. I use ACT to help clients reduce emotional suffering, let go of patterns that keep them feeling stuck, and build a life guided by personal values, meaning, and lasting emotional well-being.
