**Hablo Español** Are you experiencing symptoms such as anxiety, feelings of abandonment, depression, low self-esteem, childhood trauma, or parenting challenges? With over 18 years of experience in evidence-based therapies, I am confident in my ability to tailor my approach to your individual needs and support your healing journey. As a mental health professional, I strive to provide a safe, welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable discussing concerns such as anxiety, depression, women's issues, past trauma, or emotional exhaustion. My aim is to help clients establish healthy communication boundaries with themselves and others, which can significantly enhance their overall well-being. I also have extensive experience working with children who face emotional, mental, and behavioral challenges, recognizing that their treatment needs differ from adults' due to developmental differences. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to your child's age and specific situation. These methods can help your child develop coping skills, enhance social interactions, and better manage their emotions. Depending on your child's age and needs, I may work directly with you or other caregivers to enhance parenting skills or address specific behaviors. Counseling can foster personal growth and improve various aspects of your life. If you're ready to start your journey toward better well-being, I am here to support you every step of the way.
We will commence with a brief introduction of ourselves during our initial session prior to exploring your specific challenges. This approach will facilitate the development of a tailored plan for our subsequent meetings.

EMDR is a therapy designed to help people recover from trauma and distressing experiences. It is effective for conditions like PTSD, phobias, anxiety, stress, abuse, grief, and addictions. Endorsed by major organizations like WHO and the American Psychiatric Association, EMDR uses bilateral stimulations (eye movements, sounds, or tapping) to aid the brain's healing process. Its goal is to promote healthier emotions, understanding, and behaviors by reducing distress linked to traumatic memories and negative self-beliefs. Before beginning EMDR therapy, I will teach you relaxation and self-regulation techniques to help you prepare for the session.
This treatment is aimed at assisting children who have experienced traumatic or distressing events, including the loss of a loved one, separation, serious medical procedures, abuse, or violence within their home or community settings. Such children may exhibit challenging behaviors, undergo a change in placement or caregiving arrangements, or come from families experiencing physical or mental health issues. Additionally, caregivers seeking support with parenting strategies and enhancing parent-child relationships are also considered within the scope of this intervention.
Motivational Interviewing is a person-centered, non-confrontational counseling technique that prompts behavior change. Behavioral and Cognitive Psychotherapy defines MI as "a directive, client-centered counseling style for eliciting behavior change by helping clients to explore and resolve ambivalence." With Motivational Interviewing, there's no judgment. There's no confrontation. There's no arguing or ultimatums. Just as the name implies, MI helps you find the motivation to change your behavior. This motivational approach guides you in the process of deciding for yourself how to live your best life.
