New to Grow
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and I earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling and Psychology from Chestnut Hill College, and my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Temple University. I have experience in the behavioral health field working in community mental health, inpatient psychiatric rehabilitation, inpatient addictions withdrawal management and rehabilitation, and hospice care.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session will be a time when we can meet each other to determine if I am someone you would feel comfortable working with. We complete an intake assessment where I am asking questions about the history of the issues bringing you to therapy as well as how these issues are affecting your life. I encourage you to only share what you feel comfortable with in our first meeting.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I am an intuitive and active listener who finds deep fulfillment in helping others. My capacity for empathy has been lifelong and has led me on the counseling path. I treat my clients with care but full knowledge that it is their journey and I am only the guide. I believe that promoting self-advocacy alongside self-care is monumental in therapy.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with clients on improving their quality of life through boundary setting, advocating for needs and identifying what is feeling missing from their lives. As a partner to a person with chronic illness, I appreciate having the opportunity to support other caregivers as they navigate caring for their loved ones and keeping their own needs in mind. I enjoy working with individuals who experience chronic illness and pain issues to improve their wellbeing.
Eclectic
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused techniques, ACT - Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, client centered care, mindfulness and trauma informed care to best assist my clients in reaching their goals.
