New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with children, adolescents, and young adults navigating anxiety, emotional stress, adjustment challenges, and concerns related to eating and body image. I believe therapy should feel supportive, collaborative, and grounded in genuine connection. My approach is warm, compassionate, and developmentally responsive, and I work closely with clients and families to help them better understand what they’re experiencing, build practical coping skills, and feel more confident moving forward.
In our first session, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported. We’ll spend time getting to know what’s bringing you in, what challenges you’re currently facing, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, and any patterns that may be contributing to stress or emotional overwhelm. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and creating a plan that feels realistic, supportive, and tailored to your needs. For children and adolescents, I also work thoughtfully with parents or caregivers as appropriate to support progress and create consistency outside of sessions.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a calm, supportive space where children, adolescents, and families feel understood without judgment. I bring extensive experience working with young people facing anxiety, adjustment challenges, emotional stress, and eating-related concerns, and I understand how these struggles often show up differently depending on developmental stage, family dynamics, and life circumstances. I take a compassionate, practical, and collaborative approach, helping clients build insight, strengthen coping skills, and make meaningful changes at a pace that feels manageable and empowering.
I work with children, adolescents, and young adults who are experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, adjustment challenges, or concerns related to eating and body image. Many of the individuals I support are navigating school stress, family transitions, social pressures, or changes in life that can feel difficult to manage alone. I also work with parents and caregivers to strengthen communication and create supportive environments for growth. My approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping clients build practical coping skills and greater confidence in managing life’s challenges.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help children, adolescents, and young adults recognize patterns in their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may be contributing to distress. I often use CBT to support concerns such as anxiety, adjustment difficulties, stress, self-esteem challenges, and emotional regulation. My approach is warm, collaborative, and developmentally responsive, with a focus on helping clients build practical coping skills and feel more confident managing everyday challenges.
