Welcome! As a therapist I have a warm and authentic relationship with my clients. At times life can be overwhelming and challenging, I offer services to adults to help navigate those times. My hope is to give my clients a nonjudgmental space in which they feel they can be honest about their thoughts and feelings while also learning and implementing new tools and skills to better their life. Today’s fast paced world can feel lonely and demanding to individuals. Sessions are based on personal needs and therefore will not look the same for every client.
In our first session together, we will work on building rapport and introducing ourselves. We will then identify the areas that you would like to focus on and develop short and long term goals to help us address these items.
Having worked with children, adolescents, and parents for the past 13 years I feel that I have experienced many different dynamics and personalities. I appreciate and value each of my clients and know their time with me is an investment in their self care.
I utilize CBT in my sessions to help my clients learn and practice techniques such as relaxation, coping, resilience, stress management and assertiveness. We will work together to utilize thought challenging skills and cognitive restructuring in order to decrease negative thinking.
I use mindfulness techniques to help clients become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without immediately reacting to them. Together, we practice staying present in the moment, which can reduce anxiety, improve emotional regulation, and increase self-awareness. This approach helps clients respond to life's challenges with greater intention, self-compassion, and resilience.
I use narrative therapy to help clients explore the stories they tell themselves about their lives and identify patterns that may no longer serve them. Together, we separate the person from the problem, uncover strengths, and challenge limiting beliefs shaped by past experiences. This approach empowers clients to rewrite their story in a way that reflects their values, resilience, and hopes for the future.
I use a feminist therapy lens to recognize how relationships, culture, and societal expectations can influence emotional well-being and self-esteem. Together, we explore patterns of power, identity, and lived experiences while honoring each client's unique background and values. This approach encourages empowerment, healthy boundaries, self-advocacy, and creating a life that aligns with what matters most to you.
I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change. My role is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to explore their experiences, values, and goals. By building on each client's unique strengths, we work together to foster confidence, authenticity, and lasting personal growth.

Having never tried therapy before, I wasn't too sure what to expect but Margaret was absolutely amazing. Incredibly easy to talk to and I feel a little lighter after. I look forward to booking more sessions with her.
