New to Grow
Hello! I’m Chloe, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with years of experience supporting young adults and adults through life’s most challenging moments — both in Intensive Outpatient Programs and outpatient settings. I graduated from SUNY Albany’s School of Social Welfare in 2019, but my path to social work began even earlier. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the international development sector and spent time in some of the world’s most under-resourced communities. That experience shaped my deep commitment to cultural humility and my belief that every person’s story deserves to be heard on its own terms. Originally from London, I moved to the US in 2017, and my own experience navigating life across cultures deepens my appreciation for how much context shapes who we are. At the heart of my work is a person-centered, strengths-based approach - I see therapy as a collaboration where you’re the expert on your own life and my role is to walk alongside you. I take a trauma-informed approach, recognizing that trauma shows up in many forms and has a very real impact on everyday life. I am EMDR-trained and draw on CBT and DBT techniques to offer a well-rounded, evidence-based experience, while keeping the relational, human side of therapy at the core. I am also neurodiversity-affirming and committed to creating a space where you can show up exactly as you are. When I’m not in session, you’ll likely find me outside - running (slowly), walking a nature trail, or catching up with a friend over an iced coffee. If you’re navigating a difficult season or transition, I’d be honored to support you.
During our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and talking about what you would like to work on in therapy.
Clients often tell me they feel comfortable opening up quickly. I believe the relationship between therapist and client is the foundation of any real progress, so building genuine trust and safety is always my first priority. I’m especially skilled at supporting people through crisis moments and major life transitions, meeting them where they are without judgment. I also believe in leaving every session with something tangible - whether that’s a coping strategy, a new way of framing a challenge, or simply a clearer sense of what you’re carrying and why.
I especially love working with people who feel like life is shifting underneath them - whether that’s leaving school, navigating family dynamics, relationship challenges, work stress, or those unexpected curveballs life throws that you just didn’t see coming. I also welcome anyone navigating anxiety, depression, or moments when past trauma starts to surface in everyday life. I have a particular passion for working with young adults facing these moments, but welcome anyone who feels this resonates.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Using CBT, we explore the thoughts that might be working against you - noticing them, questioning them, and slowly shifting them toward something more grounded and helpful.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
While DBT is traditionally delivered in a structured group format, I incorporate DBT skills in individual sessions to help you build emotional regulation and distress tolerance - practical tools for navigating overwhelming feelings and getting through difficult moments.
Group Therapy
With four years of experience facilitating group therapy, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it can be. Hearing “me too” from someone who genuinely understands your struggle can be just as healing as the therapeutic work itself.
EMDR
For clients who have experienced trauma, I offer EMDR therapy - always at a pace that feels safe and manageable. I never rush the process. We begin by building a strong foundation of grounding techniques and internal resources, so that you feel equipped to handle whatever comes up. When you feel ready, we move into processing past traumatic memories - and I’ve seen clients experience profound shifts, with distressing memories losing much of their grip and intensity over time.
