Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counsellor (LCPC) based in Maryland. I received my Masters in Addictions Counseling and Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University, as well as my Doctorate in Behavioral Health Counseling/Theology. I work with adolescents, young adults and seniors who are struggling with stress, anxiety, depression and PTSD helping them to have a productive and healthy lifestyle. My research studies are in Co-Occurring disorders/dule diagnosis, the coexistence of both mental and substance abuse.
My clients can expect that they are not alone. During our first session we will complete an intake-assessment that will help us form a therapeutic relationship as we move into the treatment planning, consisting of goals, objectives and coping skills. This allows the client to feel comfortable and see improvement in their mental health as we work together.
My greatest strength as a provider is the ability to have empathy for other's as well as walking in their shoes. For over six years I have worked with client's who suffer with anxiety, depression and trauma, gaining competence in those areas.
I love working with adolescents, young adults and seniors who are seeking mental health care. it shows they want to improve their situation but are unable to do so alone, it could be very overwhelming without professional help. Therefore, my clients are eager to make their mental health goal's a reality.
I have been using CBT for over 6 years, it helps with overwhelming problems in a positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts as well as helps improve the way you feel.
