New to Grow
I’m a Christian, foster and adoptive mom, and part of a beautiful, blended family, which gives me a personal understanding of the joys and challenges families face. I’m passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and children through life’s transitions and struggles, helping them grow, heal, and find balance. With experience in faith-informed counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Somatic Therapy, and couples work, I meet clients where they are providing guidance, support, and practical tools tailored to their unique journey.
In your first session, we’ll get to know each other and create a safe, supportive space for you to share what’s on your mind. I’ll ask questions about your concerns, goals, and background to understand your unique situation. Together, we’ll discuss how therapy can help, explore what approaches might work best for you, and develop a plan tailored to your needs. The first session is also a chance for you to ask questions and get comfortable, so you know what to expect moving forward.
My greatest strengths lie in combining a faith-informed perspective with evidence-based practices to support clients’ emotional, relational, and spiritual growth. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Somatic Therapy, and couples counseling to address a wide range of challenges from anxiety and depression to trauma and family issues. I’m highly collaborative, meeting clients where they are, and I focus on practical tools and strategies that create lasting change. What stands out is my ability to tailor therapy to each individual, couple, or family, respecting their comfort, values, and goals while helping them achieve meaningful results.
My ideal clients are individuals, couples, and families who are seeking growth, healing, and clarity. I work with children, adults, and older adults, helping those navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, family conflicts, fertility challenges, or the unique complexities of foster and adoption situations. I’m best positioned to serve clients who are open to integrating Christian values with practical strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Somatic Therapy—but the faith-informed approach is always optional and tailored to each client’s comfort. Whether the goal is emotional regulation, improved relationships, personal insight, or crisis support, I partner with clients in a way that respects their beliefs, preferences, and individual journey toward healing and resilience.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns that influence their emotions and behaviors. In my practice, I guide clients in recognizing negative thinking, challenging distorted beliefs, and replacing them with more balanced, constructive thoughts. I also incorporate practical strategies such as coping skills, behavioral exercises, and goal setting to support lasting change. My approach is collaborative, helping clients build awareness, develop healthier responses, and apply these skills in their daily lives
Christian Counseling
I provide Christian Counseling from a Christ-centered perspective, integrating biblical truth with evidence-based practices to support emotional and spiritual growth. As a Christian, I help clients explore their struggles through both a clinical and faith lens, using Scripture, prayer (when desired), and practical tools to guide healing. The level of faith integration is always up to the client—I respect each individual’s preferences and comfort, whether that means fully incorporating faith or not including it at all. My approach emphasizes grace, identity in Christ, and developing healthier thought patterns and behaviors while supporting each client in a way that aligns with their values.
Somatic
Additionally, I often use a Somatic Therapy approach to help clients become more aware of how stress, trauma, and emotions are stored in the body. In my practice, I guide clients in noticing physical sensations, regulating their nervous system, and developing a stronger mind-body connection. This may include grounding techniques, breathwork, and body awareness exercises to support emotional healing. My approach is gentle, collaborative, and paced according to each client’s comfort, helping them feel more present, regulated, and in control of their responses.
Couples Counseling
I provide Couples Counseling to help partners improve communication, resolve conflict, and deepen their connection. In my practice, I guide couples in identifying patterns that create tension, exploring each partner’s needs, and developing practical strategies to strengthen their relationship. My approach is collaborative and supportive, allowing each partner to feel heard and respected. Sessions are tailored to the couple’s unique dynamic, helping them build trust, empathy, and healthier ways of relating to one another.
