Hi! I'm Alexis, a licensed professional counselor in Maryland and Virginia. I have 12 years of experience working with individuals with a variety of concerns. I believe our mental & wellbeing begins with meeting our most basic needs- such as food, water, shelter- and understanding our emotional needs- such as a sense of security, belonging, & self worth. As your therapist, I will assist you to define your wants & needs based on your values, learn more about yourself, & ways to accomplish your goals by living intentionally. I use an integrative approach including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Attachment Based, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused and Person- Centered therapies.
Through a mind, body and soul approach, individuals find solace through self-exploration, defining their values, and aligning their actions towards their values. With this foundation, those who commit to the journey of intentional living experience healing, growth and life transformation.
