New to Grow
Hi, I’m Keisharely, a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist specializing in anxiety, trauma, and emotional development in children, adolescents, and young adults. I help clients who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to manage their emotions build confidence, coping skills, and stronger relationships. My approach is warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive. I create a safe, supportive space where clients and families feel understood while working toward meaningful, lasting change.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if it’s your first time. In our first session, we’ll focus on helping you (or your child) feel comfortable, understood, and supported. We’ll talk about what’s been going on—whether it’s anxiety, emotional struggles, behavioral concerns, or life transitions—and begin identifying goals for therapy. I take a gentle, non-judgmental approach and move at your pace. For children, sessions may include play therapy, drawing, or interactive activities to support emotional expression in a natural way. I also work closely with parents to better understand their child’s needs and provide practical strategies to support them at home. You don’t need to have everything figured out—showing up is the first step toward feeling better.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strength is creating a space where clients feel safe, understood, and supported while also making meaningful progress. I specialize in working with anxiety, trauma, and emotional regulation using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, and attachment-based work. I am especially skilled in helping children and adolescents express emotions, build coping skills, and improve self-esteem, while also guiding parents in understanding and supporting their child more effectively. As a bilingual therapist, I provide therapy in both English and Spanish, helping families feel comfortable and fully understood. Clients often leave sessions with both emotional clarity and practical tools they can use in their daily lives.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with children, adolescents, and young adults who are experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, low self-esteem, or challenges related to life transitions and relationships. Many of the clients I support may have experienced stress or trauma and are looking for a safe, supportive space to better understand themselves and build healthier coping skills. I also work closely with parents who want to better understand their child’s emotional needs, strengthen communication, and feel more confident in how they support their child at home. My ideal clients are open to the process of therapy, even if they feel unsure at first, and are willing to engage in a collaborative and compassionate approach to growth and healing. I provide services in both English and Spanish to support individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Child Parent Psychotherapy
I have experience using Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) to support young children and their caregivers in strengthening their relationship, especially in the context of trauma, attachment disruptions, or emotional and behavioral challenges. My approach is warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive, with a strong emphasis on creating a safe space where both the child and caregiver feel seen, heard, and supported. In my practice, I use CPP to help caregivers better understand their child’s emotional world, behaviors, and needs through a trauma-informed and attachment-based lens. I guide families in making meaning of past and present experiences, while supporting the development of emotional regulation, trust, and secure connection. Sessions often include play, storytelling, and reflective dialogue, allowing children to express themselves in developmentally appropriate ways while caregivers are actively involved in the healing process. I also integrate bilingual support (English/Spanish) to ensure that families can engage in therapy in the language that feels most natural and comfortable to them. My goal is to strengthen the parent-child relationship as the foundation for healing, resilience, and long-term emotional well-being.
Play Therapy
I use Play Therapy to help children express emotions, process experiences, and develop coping skills in a way that feels natural and safe. By integrating creative, child-centered, and directive approaches—such as play, art, storytelling, and digital tools—I meet children at their developmental level and help them build emotional awareness, confidence, and problem-solving skills. Caregivers are included when appropriate to support progress beyond sessions.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, develop healthier perspectives, and build practical coping strategies for challenges such as anxiety, depression, and self-esteem concerns. With children, I adapt CBT using interactive and developmentally appropriate tools to make these skills accessible and engaging.
Attachment-based
I use attachment-based approaches to help clients build secure, trusting relationships and understand how past and present connections shape their emotional experiences. I support children, adolescents, and families in strengthening communication, emotional regulation, and relational patterns. This work focuses on creating safety, deepening connection, and fostering a more secure sense of self and others.
