I’m a licensed clinical professional counselor with over 15 years of experience working with teens (13+), adults, couples, and families across Maryland. I provide a warm, supportive space where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. I work with a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). I also support clients navigating relationship challenges, including couples issues, divorce, co-parenting, codependency, and family conflict. I have a special passion for working with pregnancy and parenting-related concerns, including infertility, miscarriage, postpartum depression and anxiety, and adjusting to new parenthood. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to your unique needs. Together, we’ll focus on building insight, improving coping skills, and helping you move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to feel a mix of emotions. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and respected from the very beginning. During our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions about what brings you to therapy, your current challenges, and any relevant background (such as relationships, mental health history, and supports). You can share as much or as little as you feel ready—there’s no pressure to tell your whole story right away. We’ll also talk about your goals for therapy and what you hope to get out of our work together. I’ll explain how I approach therapy, answer any questions you have, and go over important details like confidentiality, scheduling, and communication. This first session is also an opportunity for you to get a feel for me and decide if I’m the right fit for you. Building a strong, trusting relationship is an important part of the process. By the end of the session, we’ll have a clearer understanding of your needs and begin to outline a path forward together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring more than just clinical knowledge into the therapy space—I bring real-world experience supporting individuals and families through complex, often overwhelming situations. My background allows me to understand the bigger picture of what clients are facing, not just what happens in session. This helps me offer practical, compassionate, and personalized support that truly meets you where you are.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In our work together, we will identify unhelpful thinking patterns and develop practical strategies to challenge and change them. CBT is a collaborative, goal-oriented approach that focuses on building skills clients can use in their daily lives to manage stress, improve emotional regulation, and create healthier behavioral patterns.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use a person-centered approach to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and understood. I believe that each person has the capacity for growth and healing, and my role is to provide empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard while supporting clients as they explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
