I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, proudly continuing a family legacy of service and commitment to helping others. With over a decade of experience, I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, including hospitals, home health, outpatient centers, and most recently within a K–12 school system. Throughout my career, I have considered it a true privilege to support individuals during some of their most vulnerable and transformative moments.
I specialize in individual therapy and am now opening my practice to teens. My recent experience as a School Social Worker allowed me to provide direct therapeutic services to students across all grade levels, supporting them through anxiety, depression, academic stress, peer and family challenges, and crisis situations. This chapter feels especially meaningful, as I originally pursued my education with the goal of becoming a School Social Worker. In many ways, this transition represents a full-circle moment in my professional journey. I bring the insight, developmental understanding, and collaborative approach from the school setting into my practice, offering teens and their families compassionate, structured, and informed support.
Tanisha Richardson is devoted to those who want to improve their mental health. She supports and guides individuals who are facing mental anguish. Hi, I’m Joe. I’ve worked in the mental health field for 27 years across substance use treatment, outpatient care, and hospital settings. I’ve supported individuals and families through crisis, transition, and long-term growth.
I work well with young adults, adults, and families who are navigating stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, or major life changes. I also have extensive experience working with men who may struggle to express emotions directly and instead feel stuck in withdrawal, irritability, or self-doubt.
As a veteran, I understand the mindset and pressures that can come with military life. Across all of my work, I aim to provide a grounded, steady presence where honesty, insight, and meaningful change can take place.
Hi! I'm Jen Tucker, a licensed mental health counselor who is passionate about serving others. I'm a military veteran and a military spouse. I'm also a wife, mom, and grandmother. I've been through a lot in my life. Most of you have too. After all, you find yourself here looking for something.
It is my firm belief that each and every one of us has tremendous potential. We all have unique talents and skills, honed and sharpened through our life experiences. These experiences, while crucial to shaping us, can also leave us hurt, confused, numb, or insecure. It is paramount that we stop along our journey to take stock, address our needs, heal, and refocus. Sometimes, we realize we may benefit from having extra support or guidance through these moments. That is where therapy can help.
Throughout my counseling career, I have had the privilege of being able to walk beside clients as they process the past, learn to be comfortable in the present, and get excited for the future. I am certified in trauma and treat clients with a wide range of concerns. Whether you feel ready to dive into therapy, or you are just contemplating the idea, I'd love to hear from you.
I am currently accepting video clients for individual therapy.
If you aren't ready to make contact, I have some resources available for self-reflection. Check out my blog at NotWavingButDrowning.org or my TikTok @MHMinute, where you'll find videos on a variety of mental health topics.

Hi, I'm Raisa, an LCSW and VCU graduate specializing in anxiety, depressive disorders, and the mental impact of medical trauma. Having survived trauma in early life and personally navigating an autoimmune condition requiring chemically and biologically invasive treatments as an adult; I hold a deep, non-judgmental understanding of the profound toll chronic illness takes on your life and identity. I value the power of resilience and adaptation in humans. This lived experience equips me to help you process medical trauma holistically.
I provide warm, humanistic, virtual-only therapy tailored entirely to your unique story. As a South Asian person of color, I am verbally fluent in my native language, Bangla/Bengali, as well as Hindi, and some knowledge of Urdu. This background gives me deep insight into the unique cultural intersections that Asians can face in the Western world. Additionally, my professional background includes over 4.5 years of working in a jail, heavily highlighting my crisis intervention and suicidal/homicidal risk assessment skills while working directly with substance use and personality disorders.
By combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Dr. Kabat-Zinn's mindfulness models (MBSR/MBCT), we will unpack your experiences in partnership. My clinical approach prioritizes a strongly holistic treatment plan across all 4 Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual domains of life, adapted to your diagnoses. If desired, this is an opportunity to hone your spiritual practice and discipline—intentionally refining, practicing, and sharpening your daily habits to connect with something larger than yourself.
Together, we'll meet your needs, wants, and goals, by building practical tools to reclaim your peace, regain control, and thrive. Through unconditional regard and trust, I’m honored to stand by you and help re-discover the best version of yourself!
Hello. My name is Barbara but I have been known all my life as "Bobbi Jo" , so I am struggling with the formality that comes from having a "professional" listing. I am an LCSW who was born and raised and currently resides in Virginia. I obtained my undergraduate degree from James Madison University and my graduate degree from The Catholic University of America.
My name is Lillian Gebert. I have been in practice as a therapist for 14 plus years and consider myself a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist with experience treating various types of mental health disorder including substance abuse disorder/dual diagnosis. I am very compassionate, empathic and caring, know how to set healthy boundaries and ofter hope to my clients while helping clients to achieve their goals in treatment.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 25 years of experience working with children and adults. I have primarily worked within school systems as an on-site therapist; as well as in my own private practice. I work with people who have a variety of concerns, including: trauma, attachment, grief and loss, divorce, school problems, anxiety and depression, life-phase transitions, and family conflicts. I value an eclectic and prescriptive therapeutic model, and am skilled at shifting gears when the need arises.
My specialty is working with children 2 to 12. As a registered play therapist/supervisor, I understand the language that children routinely use to communicate: play. Through play therapy, children can explore new roles, act out challenging situations, and re-work beliefs about themselves and others. In parent-child play therapy (with younger children), we work together to build secure and safe connections, practice new ways of communicating, and foster JOY in your interactions.
In addition to play therapy, I have trained extensively in EMDR (for children and adults), Jungian sandtray, the Oaklander Model of Gestalt Play therapy, Mindfulness, and Theraplay. Every one of these modalities is meant to foster relationships built on safety, warmth, security, and trust.
My work with adult clients can be described as "going deep." I especially enjoy working with adult women going through life transitions (career, family, spiritual). In addition, I am interested in working with other therapists who experience clinical burnout.
In my life outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, crocheting, reading, yoga, walking, petting my cats, and spending time in nature.
I have been working in the helping professions for over 15 years. Having seen how trauma can affect so many of us, I focused on learning ways to help others get through the trauma and live healthy, fulfilled and value based lives. I am here to help you on your journey to finding your own Inner Sun.
I use a blend of brain and body based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. My primary modality is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy), based on the Adaptive Information Processing model. Neuroscience and studies on Neuroplasticity are baring out that the mind can heal itself. Old pathways and negative memories can be updated with new adaptive information. EMDR uses eye movements and other forms of physical tapping and Bi-Lateral stimulation to help the brain process old stuck memories and trauma. Not just for Big Trauma's like car accidents, it can help with many issues from the past, present and perceived future concerns including PTSD, trauma, depression, anxiety and more specific issues such as religious abuse, shame, guilt and pain management.
I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) licensed Clinical Psychologist (Psy.D.) offering telehealth services to adults in California, Florida, Virginia, and Michigan. My practice is a safe, inclusive, and culturally affirming space that helps you navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. I specialize in supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, including BIPOC, Afro-Latino, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent communities. By blending narrative therapy, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and solution-focused techniques, we will work together to break generational cycles and foster deep healing. If you are ready to reclaim your narrative and build lasting resilience, schedule our first session today.
My philosophical life view is based upon a positive psychological perspective which means I truly believe that one voice can change your day, week, month, future and the world! I have dedicated myself to helping teens, young adults and women become a better version of themselves no matter what life throws at them. I enjoy challenging my clients to think differently and then watching the benefits that occur when they find success. I want to continue to teach courage and confidence by touching and diving into subjects such as overcoming self-doubt, identifying scarcity thinking and toxic surroundings, and unbalanced relationships. By having my clients identify on their own, their own overthinking, unhealthy relationships and perfectionism, together we can create new patterns of thinking that can lead to increased self-efficacy, courage and confidence.

Hello! I’m so glad you took the first step to make meaningful change in your life. I’d love the opportunity to partner with you and learn about your strengths, struggles, and how we move forward together. I believe we all have the answers to the big questions in our lives, but sometimes we get stuck or need a non-judgmental perspective to help us.
As someone who grew up in a military family and is now a military spouse, I understand the unique lifestyle and challenges that military spouses face. As someone who has experienced grief and the loss of a loved one to cancer and a baby to miscarriage, I can empathize with loss and the waves of despair that grief can bring. I take an eclectic approach to therapy and aim to meet you wherever you are, drawing on your experiences and providing you with tools to help guide you toward your goals.
Hello and welcome. I really enjoy getting to know people and building genuine connections as we move through the ups and downs of life together. In our work, we might focus on relationships, managing stress, improving communication, navigating life transitions, and finding steadiness with emotions and thoughts. We can also make space to understand past experiences, explore patterns in dating and intimacy, and work toward a more balanced and meaningful life. I’m especially interested in the parts of ourselves that don’t always get attention—the quieter or “hidden” pieces that often have a lot to teach us. If you’re willing to show up as you are, I’ll meet you there with care and consistency. Thank you for being here.
My approach to therapy is eclectic (blending different styles to fit your needs), strengths-based and collaborative. Together, we'll identify your challenges and maximize your strengths to help you live a happier and more satisfying life. I work with adults of all ages who are feeling anxious or overwhelmed, exhausted from masking, dealing with grief/loss, and those going through life transitions.
Therapy is a space for curiosity, growth, and sometiems a little humor along the way. With over 20 years of experience in mental health, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Intenal Family Systems (IFS) to create a personalized approach that meets each person where they are. I value the healing connection we have with nature and believe that feeling safe, understood, and genuinely seen can create the foundation for meaningful changes. Together, we can explore the impact of past experiences, make sense of the patterns that shape your life, and reconnect with what feels most authentic to you. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, whole, and able to live your life in a way that feels truly your own.
I am formally trained in EMDR and work from an insight-oriented, integrative approach. Therapy may include EMDR, mindfulness, and cognitive and behavioral strategies, along with Internal Family Systems-informed perspectives to support self-understanding and growth.
I'm a down to earth, compassionate listener who creates a space of acceptance and safety. For over 30 years, I've worked with individuals across the lifespan, supporting people in navigating complex life experiences and emotional patterns.
I value the importance of self-reflection and looking inward with honesty and compassion, knowing that deeper, more meaningful growth often emerges from understanding the parts of ourselves we've learned to avoid or protect.
Together, we focus on cultivating clarity, meaning, and resilience, helping you live in greater alignment with your true self. I would be honored to support you on your journey!
I have been licensed since 2017 and I've been working in the mental health arena for just under a decade. I began working in community mental health and that gave me an excellent opportunity to work with people who were dealing with a large variety of issues, including significant trauma, depression, anxiety, self-harm, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, people struggling to find motivation, people who are grieving significant losses, people with attention or focus issues, and people just trying to find their place in the world.
My primary concern is ensuring that you feel comfortable and safe to share openly. Wherever you are on your adventure, I want to meet you there and work with you until you reach your destination. I primarily practice cognitive behavioral therapy and I work very hard to keep myself updated on treatments that are identified as best practice therapy models by the state of Virginia. It is important to me to provide a service that is supported by research to ensure that my clients get the best service available. I tend to pull a lot from DBT, strength based counseling, motivational-interviewing, solution focused therapy, and mindfulness. It should also be mentioned that I have a lot of experience working with people who have had significant legal issues. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life, and I love to learn.

Hi- I’m Heather! I’m a licensed clinical social worker offering telehealth therapy in the state of Virginia. One of my greatest professional passions is introducing clients to EMDR therapy! If you’ve tried talk therapy before and found that you’ve hit a wall, you’re not alone. Talk therapy may help us gain new insights into our patterns of behavior or relationship dynamics, but we often still have trouble changing the way we respond to particular triggers. Despite years of talk therapy, many of us find that there is still an unbridgeable gap between what our rational thinking brain knows and our felt sense of truth. Do you cognitively believe that you are not a bad/unworthy/unloved person but deep in your body you cannot shake the sense that these core beliefs are true? EMDR can help resolve this disconnect.
Talk therapy work is done in the left hemisphere of the brain (this is the part of the brain where logical, rational thought occurs). But trauma is stored in the RIGHT hemisphere of the brain and the limbic system. Language does not easily address memories or beliefs stored in this part of the body and you may stay stuck living with maladaptive core beliefs and reliving traumatic memories until you can incorporate your RIGHT side of your brain in therapy. EMDR is one way of doing this.
EMDR operates under the theory that the brain has a natural system in place to move toward adaptive resolution. Trauma blocks this system preventing us from fully processing our memories. EMDR reactivates this system, allowing our brain to fully integrate trauma so we can be free to live life on our own terms.

Hello! My name is Meredith. I am an LPC, and have been in private practice since 2021. I am deeply passionate about what I do and I'm so glad to be getting started on Grow. As a therapist, I intentionally try to bring my most genuine and authentic self to my clients. I know how crucial this is as the basis of a productive working relationship. My sessions are primarily client-led, meaning I will prioritize what feels most prescient to you on a given day, and meet you where you are. At the same time, I will help ensure that we are consistently working toward your specific goals. I feel that the best therapeutic outcomes come from the most secure and trusting counseling relationships, and that is what I try to provide. It is probably also important for any potential client to know that my office will always be a safe space for all, regardless of belonging to any underserved, disenfranchised community.
When I am not at work, I love cooking, all things macabre and scary- books, movies, podcasts, and I love reading and hanging out with my family. I am passionate about all kinds of art and the written word. I recently took up archery, and it is a great outlet. Otherwise, I am an indoor type of gal, especially in the summer. I have been practicing as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida for the past 23 years and am also a Licensed Therapist in Virginia, largely with a focus in the areas of depression, anxiety, thought disturbance, addiction, emotion regulation, relationship distress, and self-esteem. I feel many of the responses we struggle with are connected to a traumatic event (or perceived trauma) from the past. Currently, my primary focus has been in the individual realm, with a focus on relationship growth.
I will encourage you to prioritize the areas you wish to address in therapy and tailor my approach on an individual basis. I believe in client autonomy so the areas that are addressed are the areas you want to address.
I draw on several treatment modalities (including, but not limited to, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy) to allow you to further develop your strengths and help you meet all of your treatment plan goals at a speed that works best for you. I also have completed training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy as well as the Developmental Model for Couples and integrate both of these approaches into my relational therapy practice.
Overall, I help you to see that managing the stressor is more important than just managing the stress as it will allow you to cope with anything that comes your way.

Are you a woman facing big decisions? Navigating relationship challenges, family dynamics, parenting difficulties, career pivots? My background shapes how I approach therapy with clients facing such women's issues, which includes years as a licensed mental health counselor, but also as serving in senior leadership within higher education, supporting clients as a transformational coach, and balancing parenting along the way. This mix (and juggling act) gives me a practical understanding of how emotional wellbeing is often shaped by work, caregiving, relationships, and major life responsibilities.
Many of the woman I work with are thoughtful, capable, and carrying more than others realize. They often appear highly functional on the outside while privately feeling overwhelmed, depleted, uncertain, or disconnected from themselves. I help clients slow things down enough to understand what is happening beneath the surface, identify what needs attention, and move forward in ways that feel grounded and realistic.
I am licensed in Washington, Virginia, and Rhode Island, am a nationally certified counselor, and hold a doctorate in adult and higher education. While my colleagues may call me Dr. T, in counseling I'm just Melanie. I'm here to support you, help you find clarity and calm, offer guidance, levity, and a safe space for tears, perimenopausal rage, or a well placed curse word. Together, we find solutions to the barriers keeping you from your next chapter.
I went to Naropa University in Boulder, CO, receiving my masters in Contemplative Psychotherapy and Buddhist Psychology. So, I see psychological growth through a Buddhist lens. It’s possible to summarize that view as the movement toward authenticity, growing through versions of self that no longer feel genuine. In Buddhism that movement often starts with samvega: the realization that grooved cycles of suffering no longer serve us. We might ask ourselves: What makes me vulnerable to such cycles? How and when were the tracks laid down? We might enter a process of self-inquiry through which we become more our authentic selves, for change takes place in the heart when we grieve harmful circumstances and the adaptations of self we made to get through. In such a movement, we are waking up out of, so it’s the energy of wakefulness that’s active in us, that returns us to authenticity. Wakefulness might be the energy motivating you now to seek out a therapist.
My style is collaborative: I share what I’m thinking, feeling, and formulating and invite reflection, reinterpretation, and pushback. A trustworthy therapeutic alliance is foundational to the kind of explorations that allow internal and external shifts to happen, so I hope to create a space of safety, playfulness, and depth. In facilitating the process of waking up out of, I draw from Jungian psychology, sometimes introducing dreamwork, active imagination, and archetypal and alchemical understandings. I also find parts work extremely useful in discovering and working with underlying emotions and beliefs. For parts work, I draw from the ideas and techniques of Gestalt psychology and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I also draw from the ideas and techniques found in CBT and DBT. My practice is integrated, employing a variety of modalities in the service of easing suffering and finding authenticity.
Hello, I'm Justin.
Have you ever felt overwhelmed by stress and life's complexities? Many do, and it's more common than you might think. Life's challenges can leave us feeling exhausted, anxious, and disconnected. But remember, you're not alone in this journey.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor offering virtual therapy in Virginia and North Carolina, my role is to walk with you in creating a safe, empowering space. Together, we'll explore and employ a range of therapeutic techniques tailored to your unique needs. My goal? To help you navigating the intricacies of life and forge meaningful connections — with others and with yourself.
In therapy, we uncover the roots of your stress, lighten your emotional load, and find strength in support and understanding. It's about building resilience and rediscovering your inner balance.
If you're reading this, you've already taken a brave first step. You recognize the need for change and understand that carrying the burden alone isn't the only way. If you're ready to move forward, to cultivate lasting change and greater self-awareness, I'm here to guide you. Reach out, and let's start this transformative journey together.
I am a licensed professional counselor in Virginia with over 10 years experience. I help mothers and new parents with managing the transitions, demands, and challenges of pregnancy and parenthood in order to show up in the best way for themselves and their loved ones. I also assist clients with understanding and processing stress related to cultural bias and racial trauma and incorporate practices that promote healing and empowerment.
“All of us live only a few days and have a lot of trouble.” Throughout our lives we face loss, grief, anxiety, depression, anger, and a host of other negative experiences that impact our lives. During these difficult challenges, we can struggle to return to a “normal” level of functioning. It’s at those times we need to reach out to those with the skills to assist us.
As a Licensed Clinical Social worker, I am committed to providing support and guidance to help individuals navigate this pathway. I emphasize importance of addressing habits, hurts, and hang-ups to foster mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth and healing. In order to facilitate change and growth, I employ different treatment methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to address an array of mental health issues.
I specialize in supporting adults navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, major life transitions, caregiver responsibilities, chronic illness, grief and loss, aging, and unexpected change.
I bring a combination of clinical expertise, compassion, and real-world experience to my work. My background in hospital settings has given me extensive experience helping individuals and families cope with medical diagnoses, crisis situations, caregiving demands, health-related uncertainty, and significant life changes.
My experience as a military spouse has also shaped my understanding of transition, identity, uncertainty, and starting over. Military life often requires adjusting to change, rebuilding routines, navigating career and family shifts, and finding stability during unfamiliar seasons. That perspective allows me to connect not only with military families, but with anyone facing a major transition, feeling disconnected from who they once were, or trying to create a new sense of direction.
I have seen firsthand how resilient people can be, even during incredibly difficult seasons. These experiences have strengthened my ability to remain calm under pressure, provide compassionate support, and help clients find hope, build resilience, and develop practical strategies to move forward one step at a time.
If you can read this, you made the first step. Congratulations. Seeking therapy is hard. Most people delay and tell themselves that whatever they are experiencing must be the way life is. Chances are if you have reached the point to begin exploring therapy, counseling can help make your life better. While therapy is often hard, it can be an enjoyable and uplifting experience as well. I believe that you cannot laugh without a combination of insight and relief. You can expect some humor in most sessions.
I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 20 years. In that time I have worked with men, women, teens, and families on a wide variety of issues. Sometimes that work simply involved helping them through a particular incident or life change that overwhelmed them. Other times our work together centered around longstanding issues of depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction.
In addition to traditional cognitive behavioral therapy, I also offer a fourth-wave therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). I have found this technique to be highly effective in helping people with trauma and or anxiety. Our minds and bodies are connected. Anyone who has experienced a tight neck and shoulders or an upset stomach when they were stressed knows this. EFT uses acupressure (done by the client) and cognitive interventions to provide fast and effective relief.
With over 20 years of clinical experience, I am ready to help you through the challenges you are facing. In addition to counseling, I also provide vocational testing, coaching, and consulting.
I provide both Christian and secular counseling depending on the needs of my clients.
For clients with high level confidentiality concerns due to corporate or clearance issues, there are ways we can do EFT without you ever speaking out loud about events.

I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change when they are met with compassion, respect, and genuine understanding. My approach to therapy is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to explore life's challenges at their own pace.
I have experience working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, addiction, and suicidal ideation, providing compassionate, evidence-based care during some of life's most difficult moments. I also have experience supporting military members, veterans, first responders, and couples, recognizing the unique stressors and relationship dynamics these populations often experience.
Clients often describe me as inquisitive, personable, and easy to talk to. I believe that curiosity, authentic connection, and thoughtful listening are essential to understanding each person's unique story, Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I collaborate with clients to identify their strengths, clarify their goals, and develop practical strategies that foster resilience, healing, and lasting change.
Whether you are navigating a life transition, working through emotional pain, strengthening your relationships, or seeking personal growth, I am committed to walking alongside you with empathy, respect, and encouragement as you move toward the life you want to create.

Hi, I’m Bryan McHenry. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. First and foremost, I applaud your courage in seeking mental health counseling. In this season of your life, you might’ve discovered a lot of uncomfortable feelings and thoughts. That is very difficult to manage alone. Coming into the counseling process is a new beginning of wholeness and healing. Thank you for allowing me the honor to be apart of that journey.
Though I’ve worked with a variety of populations and settings, my primary work includes men’s health/issues, depression, anxiety, grief, anger management, and life coaching. I would be honored to work with you during this time of your life. Let’s get to work.
With over 14 years of experience in the field of mental health and school counseling, I have been fortunate to gain a wealth of knowledge working with individuals 5 to 65! Utilizing my education gained from VSU, VCU and Walden University, I pride myself in the ability to use a variety of treatment modalities, shining a unique perspective within the field!
Life is a journey you don't have to endure alone. Support is always available!
We all have the opportunity in our life to start fresh. During the journey, we change, grow, heal, destroy, and can improve our lives. You will experience difficulties, and you are not alone. We are not alone in this world, but we are compelled to isolate ourselves from the fear of experiencing too much pain. I have many years of clinical training with life experiences, including successes and failures, but we are not provided a how to manual at birth. I have a sense of humor, but good sound clinical judgment, so take a leap of faith.
Hi there! I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and I am passionate about working with people, helping them find peace, healing, and resolution. I do not use a predetermined approach, but rather, I tailor the therapeutic experience to meet each individual's needs and treatment goals. Our goals will be centered around helping you establish coping skills in order to build your confidence to overcome life's challenges. I want to help you overcome your internal battles you thought were impossible.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Commonwealth of Virginia and a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the State of Ohio. I am a compassionate therapist specializing in anxiety, mood disorders, and trauma. My approach integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with mindfulness techniques, and a focus on the mind-body connection. I am committed to providing trauma-informed care to ensure a safe and supportive therapeutic experience.
I'm so glad you are here! Having been in the very same spot you are in seeking therapy, I know how first-hand how hard it can be to take this first step.
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Virginia with 10 years of experience working in clinical practice. I work with clients who experience a wide range of symptoms and concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, and ADHD. I have also worked with many people who have experienced trauma and emotional abuse.
My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and relational therapy. I will tailor our work and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
I specialize in working with the LGBTQIA+ community and seek to provide a safe, affirming space that meets you where you are. I also specialize in animal-assisted and nature-based outdoor therapy and although we'll meet virtually, you'll be surprised how I can help you incorporate this specific kind of healing into our work if that is of interest to you!
Reach out today - I look forward to working with you!
Welcome! My name is Kate, and I am a licensed clinical psychologist. I value creating a therapeutic space that is warm, respectful, empathic, and validating. I’m deeply committed to supporting individuals and couples as they tackle life’s challenges, with a focus on fostering growth, resilience, and connection. My approach blends expertise with humanity, tailoring interventions to fit your unique needs. As a psychologist, I strive to be your teammate in the healing and growth process, helping you uncover strengths, overcome barriers, and build a life aligned with your values and goals (and maybe even a few laughs along the way).
For over six years, I honed my skills working at several VA systems, where I had the privilege of learning from incredible Veterans and colleagues alike. This included year-long specialty trainings in Prolonged Exposure for PTSD (PE-PTSD), Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD (CPT-PTSD), and the full-throttle, comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT and DBT-PE).
While at my various placements (e.g., UMASS Hahnemann Family Health Center, AUNE Psychological Service Center, multiple VAs, etc.), I worked with majority LGBTQIA+ individuals and developed a passion for working with LGBTQIA+ folx. I served as the Transgender and Gender Diverse Group co-leader for several years, and my caseloads were majority LGBTQIA+, Women Veterans, and Veterans/People of Color.
Along the way, I was awarded the Outstanding Early Career Achievement, served as the MHC Group Psychotherapy Coordinator, and worked as a comprehensive DBT team member at two VA facilities. These experiences didn’t just fill my 'toolbox'—they shaped my deep respect for the strength, complexity, and resilience of the people I’m honored to work with every day.
I’m Janet Worley, LMFT and founder of Worley Wellness Counseling. I work with couples and individuals navigating relationship stress, communication struggles, emotional disconnection, and life transitions. Many of the people I work with care deeply about their relationships but feel stuck in painful patterns that leave them feeling hurt, misunderstood, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, practical, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to be vulnerable, and empowered enough to create meaningful change. Rather than offering judgment or one-size-fits-all advice, I strive to create a space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and challenged toward growth.
A large part of my work focuses on helping people understand the deeper patterns underneath conflict and distress. Whether you find yourself caught in recurring arguments, struggling to communicate, feeling emotionally disconnected, or carrying wounds that continue to impact your relationships, therapy can help bring clarity and create new ways of relating.
I use an integrative approach that blends attachment-focused work, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method interventions, DBT-informed skills, and practical problem-solving strategies. This allows us to explore not only what is happening, but why it is happening and how to begin changing it.
My goal is to help couples and individuals move beyond conflict, disconnection, and unhealthy patterns toward greater understanding, emotional safety, stronger communication, and more fulfilling relationships—with others and with themselves. I believe healing and change are possible, and you do not have to figure it all out alone.
I am a LCSW with 20 years of experience working with clients suffering from depression, anxiety, burnout and other mental health issues. I help identify root issues and work with my clients to better understand their therapeutic goals. I specialize in working with individuals and couples who are experiencing challenges in their lives or relationships. My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative and tailored to meet your specific needs and goals. I believe everyone has the capacity for growth and positive change and I am here to support you on your journey towards greater emotional well-being and fulfillment.
Hi, I’m a licensed psychotherapist specializing in individual, marriage, and family therapy. Since 2016, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals, couples, and families on their journeys toward healing. My path began as a behavior technician, giving me practical insight into emotional and behavioral challenges. As a therapist, I help people navigate trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship conflicts, emotional dysregulation, and burnout. My approach blends psychodynamic therapy, psychoeducation, and body-mind (somatic) techniques so we can explore emotional patterns, increase self-awareness, and heal the effects of stress and trauma held in the body. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in cycles, or struggling to connect with yourself or others, I offer a collaborative, trauma-informed space for deep healing and growth.
I support clients with a wide range of concerns, including:
Grief and loss, mood instability, and psychotic spectrum disorders
Major life transitions like career changes, divorce, relocation, and new parenthood
LGBTQ+ support, spiritual exploration, and existential questions
Relationship and family dynamics, including co-parenting, communication, and attachment wounds
Chronic pain, body image, and somatic trauma symptoms
Workplace stress, burnout, perfectionism, and executive functioning challenges

Hey there! Thank you for sliding on past my profile and the above quote is essential to not only my mindset in how I approach everyday as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) but also how I want to assist in creating a space for my clients. I am currently based in Pennsylvania & have over 10 years of experience working with an array of clients. I have helped many from young adults to older adults take a deep dive within themselves to challenge thoughts, perspectives and beliefs that create a mental and emotional limitation on becoming a more empowered and improved version of themselves. My goal is to respectfully challenge and guide clientele to look within themselves since they are the best expert on their own life and choices so that they can discover the innate skills and abilities that can take them to higher heights within their situations and lives.
Hi, I’m Stasia Manak. I’ve spent over 10 years working alongside people as they face life’s challenges—whether it’s trauma, relationship struggles, anxiety, depression, grief, or just feeling lost. I work with teens and adults (13+) and believe in building a strong, collaborative relationship in therapy. My goal is to help you feel more comfortable, confident, and grounded in your life, one step at a time.
Clients shouldn't have to be in therapy forever! Together, we'll co-create a balanced approach combining active listening with practical techniques, helping you reclaim your narrative and overcome obstacles. My clinical and holistic approach aims for deeper alignment and fulfillment—think more water, less soda.
As an LCSW, I'm trained in EMDR, certified in Theta Healing, Reiki, Transformational Life Coaching, and Therapeutic Touch, and am a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming, Hypnotherapy, and Time Line Therapy. I provide a compassionate, judgment-free space to explore your wants, needs, and emotions. You know yourself best, and our work is about uncovering your truths rather than imposing mine.
Together, we'll determine the tools and approaches that best suit your needs, ensuring you feel heard, validated, and empowered. The goal is to help you confidently manage challenges independently over time. We'll walk side-by-side, with you gradually taking the lead and me offering steady support. If you have pressing concerns, those always take precedence.
Our sessions focus on understanding HOW you think, not just WHAT you think, exploring both conscious and unconscious beliefs and emotions. You'll leave with clear, actionable steps, such as mindfulness exercises, creative writing prompts, meditation, and breathwork techniques to regulate emotions and reclaim your narrative.
Therapy isn't about fixing what's "broken" but enhancing alignment and fulfillment while overcoming obstacles. By focusing on your goals and measuring progress, we can eliminate stigma, leaving shame behind and empowering you toward greater self-awareness and fulfillment.

For over 13 years, I have dedicated my practice to supporting women as they navigate the many demands of modern life. I understand firsthand what it means to move between worlds. Growing up in Brooklyn as the daughter of immigrant parents, and now living in South Florida, I have been shaped by diverse cultures, communities, and perspectives. My love of travel has deepened that curiosity about the human experience. In the therapy room, this translates into a genuine ability to meet you where you are regardless of your background, your story, or how far from yourself you may feel right now.
Hello. I'm Joseph.
Do you feel so anxious it is hard to leave the house in the morning? Do you feel so depressed and sad that it is hard to get out of bed in the morning?

Working together, we can identify what causes your depression and anxiety and work to find solutions which will make life easier for you. It is all about finding balance.
My experience allows me to help you deal with your stress, relationship issues, anxiety, trauma, or depression. Some people worry about what others will think if they seek out therapy. You are not alone. Many people deal with the same kind of things you deal with. Therapy is a place where many people come to heal and grow. It is a safe place where you can talk about whatever is on your mind and know that everything is confidential. Through compassion, empathy, and evidence-based techniques, we will find solutions for your problems and worries. Look forward to working with you!
Hellooo! I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist living in Virginia. I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Regent University in 2008.
I have lived in many different places but mostly I grew up in eastern North Carolina and Europe. Having parents from western New York and southern West Virginia, I was raised in a "northern" household in a "southern" environment. I like to think these contrasts in my life have helped me learn to adapt and identify with many different types of people. While I value the privilege of being an American, I love what other nationalities contribute to my world. Standing beside my clients and walking with them through their difficult times is one of my greatest joys.
You’re showing up for everyone else—but when was the last time you showed up for yourself? Life can be overwhelming, especially when you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, addiction, or simply trying to make it through the day.
Hi, I’m Vanecia Storms, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina. I help adults get real about what they’re feeling, reconnect with their strengths, and take powerful steps forward—without the pressure to be perfect.
Therapy with me is a space where you can exhale, be heard, and maybe even laugh a little. Whether you're adjusting to a life change, overwhelmed by expectations, or struggling with past patterns, I’ll meet you where you are—with compassion, humor, and proven strategies for change.
(NOT OFFERING COUPLES THERAPY ONLY SEEING INDIVIDUALS)

Hi, I'm Lindsay. I am here to help you on your healing journey. I believe that each and every person holds all of the wisdom they need to overcome life’s traumas directly within themselves. My job as a therapist is to help shine a light on your own inner wisdom, and guide you through the healing process in a safe, nonjudgmental space. I am passionate about helping my clients navigate their journey to their most authentic, free, and true selves. I believe that when we have the tools to attune ourselves to our mind, body and spirit we come home to ourselves. And when we are at home within ourselves, we are free.

I will meet you exactly where you are. I believe that each individual is the expert on their own lives. My sole purpose as your therapist is to guide you with compassion and care to help you unlock your innate inner wisdom and equip you with the tools you need to overcome the trauma of your past.

Welcome—I’m truly glad you’re here. I bring a warm, grounded, and collaborative approach to this work, shaped by graduating with honors in my Master’s program and earning my Bachelor’s in Social Work with a Minor in Human Services. With 17 years of experience supporting at‑risk youth and families across Illinois, Kansas, and Missouri—and roughly five years in a direct therapeutic role—I’ve learned that healing is most powerful when mind, body, and spirit are invited into the process.
My background includes specialized training in DBT, ASIST, trauma‑responsive care, and emerging work with elders through grief support and medical assessments. My practice continues to expand as I deepen my understanding of military culture and the unique stressors faced by Service Members, Veterans, and their families. I integrate training in reintegration support, deployment‑related stress, and identity transitions to help military‑connected clients navigate life with clarity and strength. I am honored to now offer supportive therapeutic services to clients in the state of Virginia.
As a Licensed Massage Therapist, Somatic Therapy remains one of my first passions and is available for in‑person sessions. This body‑based approach helps clients release stored tension, regulate the nervous system, and reconnect with the wisdom of their physical and emotional selves. When the body softens, the mind opens—and healing becomes more accessible, more intuitive, and more aligned.
My work is guided by a simple belief:
~When people feel safe, seen, and supported, they naturally move toward wholeness.~
It’s an honor to walk alongside you as you reconnect with yourself and step into a life that feels grounded, authentic, and spiritually aligned.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with a diverse background in mental health care across various settings and states. Outpatient therapy and telehealth therapy services are my primary focus. My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, understanding, and respect for each client's unique experiences and emotions. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where individuals can explore their challenges, build resilience, and work toward meaningful change.
If you're grappling with anxiety, stress, worry, or depression, know you've found a compassionate partner here to help. Since 2014, I've guided countless individuals to reclaim their lives, cultivating confidence and ease, no matter what challenges arise. My passion is witnessing your transformation from apprehension to peace.
A significant part of my expertise is dedicated to understanding and supporting individuals with ADHD. It's more than just focus; it's a unique way the brain processes information, impacting organization, emotions, and time perception. If you've felt misunderstood, struggled with procrastination, or been overwhelmed, I offer clarity and practical strategies. Many clients discover that by understanding their ADHD brain, they can harness its strengths and build systems that truly work, transforming struggles into paths to success and self-acceptance. My goal is to help you unlock your full potential.
Beyond these core areas, I recognize that life's complexities interweave. The anxiety or depression you experience might be exacerbated by big decisions you're struggling to make, or difficulties in navigating relationships. These can be isolating. I offer a supportive space to explore these complexities, developing effective communication and healthy boundaries. We'll empower you to make choices aligning with your values, fostering more peaceful and fulfilling connections in your life.

During that time period I worked with patients in outpatient and inpatient settings including the University psychology clinic, Wayne State Family Medicine Center, Providence Alaska Family Medicine Center, and Providence Alaska inpatient services.I’m a clinical psychologist (PhD) specializing in trauma, anxiety, depression, and the mind–body impact of stress. My approach is warm, relational, and psychodynamic — I help you understand not just what you’re feeling, but why it keeps happening.
Many of my clients come to me after trying short-term or skills-only therapy and not feeling truly understood. Together, we look at the deeper patterns shaped by past experiences, trauma, and relationships. This includes medical trauma, chronic illness, health anxiety, and eating issues rooted in shame or self-criticism.
I offer teletherapy to adults who want thoughtful, insight-oriented work that leads to lasting change.
Hi I'm Christy.
Do you sometimes find that you are your own worst enemy? Finding fault with everything you do, never feeling like you're living up to expectations?
My goal in therapy is to help you turn your inner critic into a compassionate voice that can comfort you when you're down and give you the inspiration you need to reach your goals. We will work together to help you get to know yourself so that you will be able to care for yourself, identify your strengths, and give yourself the encouragement you need to succeed. I will also help you learn how to be more resilient in the face of obstacles so that you will be better able to find new solutions.

With over 10 years of experience supporting both adults and children, I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including intensive in-home services, community mental health, and private practice. Hello, I’m Allison Patrick, a licensed therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate grief, trauma, chronic illness, caregiving responsibilities, and life’s many transitions. I believe that healing happens when people feel truly seen, heard, and supported, and I strive to create a therapeutic space where clients can show up exactly as they are without fear of judgment.
My professional background includes working in hospice care, where I had the privilege of supporting individuals and families facing serious illness, end-of-life concerns, and profound loss. Those experiences deepened my understanding of grief in all its forms and reinforced my belief that every person’s journey is unique. Whether you are mourning the death of a loved one, coping with anticipatory grief, adjusting to a major life change, or learning to live with a chronic health condition, I offer compassionate support tailored to your needs.
I also work with individuals who have experienced trauma, helping them process difficult experiences, develop healthy coping skills, and build a stronger sense of safety and self-compassion. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help guide, support, and empower you as you work toward your goals. Together, we can explore the challenges you are facing, identify your strengths, and create meaningful change.
Seeking support takes courage, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they move through difficult seasons, discover resilience, and find hope, healing, and renewed purpose.
Experiencing life challenges like disappointments, stress, life transitions, trauma, heartbreak without emotional support can leave us stuck or in unhealthy patterns of behavior. Also sometimes it's helpful to have someone as a sounding board for life and decision-making. The modalities I utilize are person-centered, solution-focused, EMDR, CBT, TF-CBT, psychodynamic therapy, and attachment theory. I tailor my approach to the betterment of the client.
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with over 10 years experience working with children, families and adults journeying to their established goals. I have a passion for people not feeling alone, challenging unproductive behaviors and thoughts, processing trauma, clients learning how to own their life by living it on their terms, developing resilience and clients feeling seen and heard.
My analytical, curious and empathetic nature invites clients toward building lives of emotional stability and a healthy self. As we navigate the joys and pains of being human, I would be honored to join you on your journey.

My name is Dave Rogers, and I have been counseling professionally for over 30 years. I have worked at inpatient and residential treatment centers for Eating Disorders, and addictions, and as you can imagine - worked with families and loved ones impacted by these extremely difficult problems. I am so fortunate to have worked with gifted teams of professionals who taught me everything I know. I have also worked extensively as an outpatient therapist since 2011 when I opened my private practice. I heard a statement early in my career that impacted my practice of therapy greatly: "People don't care what you know, until they know you care". Research continues to verify that the quality of the therapy relationship is the foundation for all the other work. So - I do my very best to make a comfortable and supportive relationship from the start, because people often come to therapy with apprehension, fear, or bad experiences with therapy that cause them to be reluctant, or hesitant to open up and address their struggles and pain. One of my early goals in therapy is to listen so well, that the client says "you get me". I do my best to help clients heal, change, grow, and work toward contentment with themselves and life, as much as possible.
