I’m a warm, down-to-earth counselor who believes therapy should feel like a safe space to be real, be heard, and maybe even laugh a little along the way. No judgment, no pressure—just honest conversations and meaningful work toward feeling more like yourself. You might be my ideal client if you’re tired of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like you have to figure everything out on your own. Whether you’re navigating relationships, life changes, anxiety, self-doubt, or simply wondering, “What now?”—you’re welcome here. Come as you are. We’ll figure it out together.
Your first session is all about getting comfortable, getting to know each other, and figuring out what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’re experiencing, what you hope to get out of counseling, and what feels most important to you. There’s no pressure to have all the answers. You can come as you are, be yourself, and start where you’re comfortable. We’ll take it one step at a time—and yes, there’s room for a little laughter along the way!
I bring warmth, humor, genuine connection, and an open mind to each session. I’m a good listener, an out-of-the-box thinker, and I’m not afraid to get creative when the “usual” approach just isn’t working. Most importantly, I meet people where they are and create a space where they can feel comfortable being their authentic selves.
I enjoy working with children, teens, young adults, adults, and older adults—because every stage of life brings its own challenges, growth, and opportunities. I have a special passion for families, foster care, adoption, and supporting people experiencing grief and loss. I enjoy helping people navigate big emotions, life transitions, relationships, and the unexpected twists life can bring. Whether you’re figuring out who you are, working through family changes, or simply trying to make sense of life, I’m here to meet you where you are—with compassion, creativity, and maybe a little humor along the way!
I use CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We work together to identify unhelpful thought patterns, challenge them, and develop healthier ways of thinking and coping. I like to keep CBT practical and personalized, using real-life examples, creative strategies, and homework to help clients take what we discuss in session into everyday life.
I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients explore their own reasons for change—without pressure or judgment. I meet clients where they are, listen to what matters most to them, and help them identify their strengths, goals, and motivation for moving forward. I believe clients are the experts on their own lives. My role is to help them find the confidence and motivation to make changes that feel meaningful to them.
I use a strengths-based approach by focusing on what clients are already doing well and the strengths they bring with them. Instead of only focusing on problems, we explore their resilience, abilities, relationships, and past successes and use those strengths to work through current challenges. I believe everyone has strengths—even when they’re having a hard time seeing them. My goal is to help clients recognize those strengths, build confidence, and use them to create positive change.
I use somatic, mind-body approaches to help clients notice the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations. We may slow down, tune into what the body is communicating, and use simple techniques such as breathing, grounding, movement, or mindfulness to help manage stress and emotions. I believe healing involves the whole person—not just the thoughts in our heads. My goal is to help clients feel more connected to themselves and develop practical tools they can use in everyday life.
