New to Grow
I specialize in supporting adults navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, major life transitions, caregiver responsibilities, chronic illness, grief and loss, aging, and unexpected change. I bring a combination of clinical expertise, compassion, and real-world experience to my work. My background in hospital settings has given me extensive experience helping individuals and families cope with medical diagnoses, crisis situations, caregiving demands, health-related uncertainty, and significant life changes. My experience as a military spouse has also shaped my understanding of transition, identity, uncertainty, and starting over. Military life often requires adjusting to change, rebuilding routines, navigating career and family shifts, and finding stability during unfamiliar seasons. That perspective allows me to connect not only with military families, but with anyone facing a major transition, feeling disconnected from who they once were, or trying to create a new sense of direction. I have seen firsthand how resilient people can be, even during incredibly difficult seasons. These experiences have strengthened my ability to remain calm under pressure, provide compassionate support, and help clients find hope, build resilience, and develop practical strategies to move forward one step at a time.
My style is supportive but active. I'll listen with empathy while also helping you recognize unhelpful patterns, challenge negative thinking, and develop practical coping skills. I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and strengths-based interventions, always tailoring treatment to your individual goals.
My greatest strengths are my ability to remain calm, compassionate, and grounded while helping clients work through difficult or uncertain seasons. My experience as a hospital medical social worker has strengthened my skills in supporting adults and families facing complex emotions, major decisions, health-related stress, caregiving demands, grief, and significant life changes. My experience as a military spouse has also deepened my understanding of transition, uncertainty, changing roles, family responsibilities, and the process of rebuilding stability and identity during new seasons of life. These personal and professional experiences allow me to connect with clients in a practical, genuine, and nonjudgmental way. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and honest. I create a space where clients feel heard and supported while also offering gentle accountability and encouragement. I use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and strengths-based therapy, to help clients gain insight, challenge unhelpful patterns, strengthen coping skills, and make meaningful progress toward their goals.
My ideal clients are adults who feel overwhelmed by life's transitions and are ready to create meaningful change. They may be navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, caregiver responsibilities, chronic illness, grief, relationship challenges, career changes, military or civilian transitions, retirement, or the emotional impact of aging. Some feel stuck, while others simply want a safe space to better understand themselves and build healthier ways of coping. I work best with clients who are open to self-exploration and willing to take small, realistic steps toward their goals. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental while also providing gentle accountability. Together, we'll identify your strengths, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop practical coping strategies, and build the confidence and resilience needed to navigate life's next chapter with greater clarity and purpose.

I use Attachment-Based Therapy to help clients understand how early relationships and life experiences may influence the way they view themselves, connect with others, and respond to stress. Together, we'll explore patterns in relationships, identify beliefs that may no longer serve you, and develop healthier ways of building trust, setting boundaries, and managing emotions. My goal is to create a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship where you can heal, strengthen your sense of self, and build more secure and fulfilling relationships.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we'll identify unhelpful thinking patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, stress, or feeling stuck, and replace them with more balanced and realistic perspectives. CBT is a practical, goal-oriented approach that helps clients develop healthier coping skills, improve emotional well-being, and make meaningful changes that support long-term growth.
I practice culturally sensitive therapy by recognizing and respecting each client's unique background, values, beliefs, identity, and lived experiences. I understand that culture, family, community, spirituality, and life experiences all influence how we view ourselves and the world around us. My approach is nonjudgmental, collaborative, and inclusive, creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and respected. Together, we'll explore your experiences within the context of your cultural identity while developing strategies that align with your values, strengths, and goals.
I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients explore their thoughts and feelings about change without pressure or judgment. Rather than telling you what to do, I work collaboratively with you to identify your strengths, clarify your values, and strengthen your own motivation for change. This approach is especially helpful for clients who feel stuck, uncertain, or ambivalent about taking the next step. Together, we'll build confidence, overcome barriers, and create realistic goals that align with the life you want to live.
I use Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful beliefs that may be contributing to emotional distress. Together, we'll examine how your thoughts influence your emotions and behaviors, replace rigid or self-defeating beliefs with healthier, more balanced perspectives, and develop practical coping strategies. REBT is an active, goal-oriented approach that helps clients build resilience, improve emotional well-being, and respond to life's challenges with greater confidence and flexibility.
