Hi! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), with 10 years of experience. I am specialized in helping people with Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, self esteem issues, and women’s issues. Each session is client centered, and I utilize different approaches based on your unique needs. Some modalities I use include Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma focused therapy, mindfulness based therapy, and solution focused therapy. I see clients aged 18 and older for individual therapy via Telehealth.
In our first session, I will gather information to understand your background, childhood experiences, and current symptoms/challenges you are facing in your life. We will also discuss what your goals are for therapy and how we can work together to achieve these goals.
Having worked in multiple settings and with various diagnoses, I’ve learned to attend to each client as their own unique case. I take the time to get to know you and look for patterns that you may have not noticed in your life, and will help you identify and process your thoughts and feelings. Therapy is a journey, and I encourage all my clients to be compassionate with themselves.
I am specialized in helping people with Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, self esteem issues, and women’s issues. Therapy is most beneficial with reoccurring appointments every week or every 2 weeks.
With CBT, I will help you to identify negative thought patterns and find alternate more rational ways of thinking.
DBT is helpful with mood regulation. DBT is usually used for the diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder, however, the tools can be used by all individuals to help with managing emotions and mood swings.
Trauma-informed care is a strengths-based approach that is grounded in an understanding of and responsiveness to the impact of trauma.
Mindfulness is the awareness of one's internal states and surroundings. It can help people avoid destructive or automatic habits and responses. Some strategies including breathing exercises, meditation, and body scan exercises. We can use this in session or I can send you resources to practice this on your own in between sessions.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a short-term goal-focused evidence-based therapeutic approach, which incorporates positive psychology principles and practices, and which helps clients change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems.
