New to Grow
I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change when they are met with compassion, respect, and genuine understanding. My approach to therapy is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to explore life's challenges at their own pace. I have experience working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, addiction, and suicidal ideation, providing compassionate, evidence-based care during some of life's most difficult moments. I also have experience supporting military members, veterans, first responders, and couples, recognizing the unique stressors and relationship dynamics these populations often experience. Clients often describe me as inquisitive, personable, and easy to talk to. I believe that curiosity, authentic connection, and thoughtful listening are essential to understanding each person's unique story, Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I collaborate with clients to identify their strengths, clarify their goals, and develop practical strategies that foster resilience, healing, and lasting change. Whether you are navigating a life transition, working through emotional pain, strengthening your relationships, or seeking personal growth, I am committed to walking alongside you with empathy, respect, and encouragement as you move toward the life you want to create.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. My goal is to create a welcoming and comfortable environment where you feel safe sharing your story at your own pace. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy including a review of your personal history, explore your current concerns, and identify the goals you hope to achieve. I'll also answer any questions you have about the counseling process and explain how we'll work together moving forward.
A person-centered approach with active listening, empathy, problem solving, and unconditional positive regard.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify helpful thinking patterns and develop practical coping skills, and create realistic strategies for overcoming life's challenges. My goal is to provide a supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to make meaningful, lasting changes and improve their overall well-being.
Faith based therapy
For clients who desire it, faith based therapy is integrated into the therapeutic process by incorporating biblical principles, prayer, and spiritual values alongside evidence-based clinical practices. I respect each client's beliefs and work collaboratively to help them draw on their faith as a source of strength, healing, and hope while addressing emotional, relational, and personal challenges.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution-Focused Therapy helps clients identify their strengths, build on existing resources, and develop practical solutions to life's challenges. Rather than focusing solely on problems, we work collaboratively to clarify goals, recognize what is already working, and create achievable steps toward meaningful, lasting change. My approach is empowering, goal-oriented, and tailored to each client's unique needs.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing helps clients explore and resolve ambivalence (conflicting feelings) about change in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment. Through collaborative conversations, I help clients strengthen their motivation, identify personal values and goals, and build confidence in their ability to make meaningful, lasting changes. My approach emphasizes empathy, empowerment, and respect for each client's unique journey.
