Welcome, I'm glad you are here! I'm Aline and I empower you to reconnect with your authentic self, and achieve your goals in counseling. I believe you already possess within you the capacity and resources to resolve your own issues and just need the support in therapy to tap into your strengths to enhance your mental wellness. My goal is to provide a safe therapeutic environment for exploration, understanding of current unhelpful patterns, collaborative problem solving, and building of skills that foster growth.
My goal during the intake session is to get to know the client, understand what are the presenting issues leading them to seek therapy, and formulate a treatment plan that is in line with the client goals.
I find that I'm most effective with clients who are engaged and cooperative in treatment with issues related to childhood or adult trauma, depression, relational issues, marital conflict, grief and loss, self-acceptance, and or substance use issues.
I find that the clients that benefit the most from working with me are those who are committed to working towards change and consistent with attending and actively engaging in therapy.

Aline has always made me feel listened to and has always appeared open minded. She laughs, nods and reaffirms she's listening. She validates my stress and/or feelings while giving me insights on how to manage them. I have not had a therapist that I've looked forward to seeing, but talking with Aline feels like talking to a very wise, trusted friend. I leave our sessions feeling like I was able to untangle my many thoughts, which hasn't always happened with previous therapists.

Aline listens deeply and without judgment. She is compassionate, professional, and able to gently guide me toward self-understanding and growth. Her calm, reassuring presence makes it easier to explore difficult emotions, and her advice is thoughtful and grounded in real expertise.
I have been using CBT as my primary treatment modality due to its proven effectiveness in treating a variety of disorders including anxiety and depression.
