Welcome! I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor in CT since 2014 and implement evidence-based treatments to support clients with a variety of stressors related to life adjustment, anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma, family and academics. I have specialized training in working with clients from a myriad of backgrounds and presenting issues (anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma and chronic medical issues). While each therapeutic relationship is unique, my typical style includes formation of a positive and collaborative clinical relationship to support client in utilizing therapeutic safe to open about and process life stressors. I am an excellent active listener and create a therapeutic environment to allow for clients to gain insight and develop a plan to meet their goals. I tend to offer psychoeducation briefly and can offer homework if student feels it would be helpful. It is important to me for my clients to feel feeling validated, supported, and gently challenged to view situations from different perspectives to help create positive change. Collaboratively, we will work together to create a safe environment for healing to occur and meet goals for treatment.
I am a Licensed clinical social worker in both CT and Fl. I have over 23 years' experience helping clients with addictions, relationship counseling, coping with grief, loss, stress and anxiety. I provide solution-based therapy. I create a safe space for my clients to openly and honestly share their experiences. Reach out to see if we are a good match for each other.
I enjoy working with adults of various backgrounds and with various concerns. I come to my work with a degree in clinical psychology from Duquesne University. I have been in then mental health and addictions profession for 35 years, and for this reason I am uniquely qualified to serve clients with diverse needs. in addition, I have a specialty certification in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) for depression. The most important skills I feel are important to convey to clients are ways to manage both everyday stress and major life challenges. Mindfulness is a key component of what I teach: the ability to be aware and focused in the present moment to one's experience. From this vantage point one achieves a "witness" perspective toward oneself that allows access to inner resources that one cannot access when caught up in past emotions or future concerns. From this point of access, the present becomes an effective way to view aspects of oneself or the situation, making them more available for change. A second key component I enjoy teaching and supporting in my clients is self-compassion, in which gentleness and patience replace demands for perfection and quick solutions.
I specialize in supporting adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by anxious thoughts, self-doubt, chronic stress, or the challenges that arise during shifts in identity and life roles. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can slow down, feel heard, and begin to explore healthier ways of coping and moving forward.
My approach is collaborative and evidence-based. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support the balance between acceptance and change, and mindfulness practices to deepen self-awareness and manage stress more effectively. These tools work together to build resilience, emotional balance, and self-compassion, helping you create meaningful and lasting change in your life.
The impact of therapy can be transformative. Clients often leave with greater peace of mind, stronger self-awareness, and renewed hope for the future. It’s an honor to walk alongside you in this process and support you in creating the life you want.

I have lived a long and colorful life. Like everyone else, I've made good and bad choices and learned from each. I have 22+ years experience in the mental health and substance abuse treatment field. I DO NOT JUDGE, AT ALL, PERIOD. I can be both blunt and gentle as appropriate. My role is to offer another perspective, a way to see life more fully and function better, no more, no less. I don't pretend to have all the answers but only one slice of wisdom. I just share what can help someone. Some people are not yet ready to be helped. Yet for those who are feeling lost on life's journey and are willing to listen and learn, I'm here to assist. My life work can be summed up in three words, "offering people hope. "

If you’re here, you may be carrying experiences that still show up in your body, your thoughts, or your relationships — even if those events happened long ago. Your nervous system learned how to survive, and now it may need support learning how to feel safe again.

My approach is trauma-informed, which means I move at your pace, prioritize your sense of safety, and respect your boundaries. You are always in control of what you share and when. Therapy is not about forcing yourself to “relive” anything — it’s about helping your nervous system feel safer and helping you reclaim your sense of choice and agency.
