New to Grow
Hi, I’m Leon. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or looking to better understand yourself, therapy can be a helpful place to start making meaningful changes. I’m a social worker who has been working as a therapist since 2018, with experience in both hospital and outpatient settings. I take a collaborative, partnership-based approach to therapy, working alongside you to identify what’s getting in the way and how to move forward. I’m passionate about providing thoughtful, high-quality care. By maintaining a smaller caseload in my private practice, I’m able to give each client the attention and support they deserve. My goal is to help you gain insight, build practical tools, and create lasting change in your life.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a strong foundation for our work. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, your current challenges, and what you’re hoping to change. I take a holistic approach, meaning we’ll look at different areas of your life that may be impacting your well-being. This is a space where you can share openly and start to feel supported in working toward your goals.
My greatest strengths are active listening, compassion, and adaptability. I pay close attention to your experiences and follow up on what matters most to you. As we work together, I’ll help you explore patterns in your thoughts and behaviors while adjusting our approach as your needs evolve. My goal is to create a supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and encouraged to grow.
I work best with adults who are looking to better understand themselves and make meaningful changes in their lives. You may be feeling stuck, navigating a challenge, or simply wanting more clarity around your thoughts and behaviors. Whether you’re ready to take action or still figuring things out, therapy can be a space to explore, reflect, and grow. Together, we’ll work toward building insight, improving daily functioning, and helping you feel more confident in your decisions and direction.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use cognitive behavioral skills to assist clients in understanding the connection between their thoughts and behaviors to reduce symptoms including but not limited to anxiety and anger.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT skills in conjunction with CBT skills. DBT skills give us common language terms to use to understand coping skills. These skills are highly effective with those who struggle with decision making and seeing "the gray area" during conflict.
