LPC, 3 years of experience
Are you seeking compassionate and expert support for your teen? Are you a young adult in college in need of support? I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), and Ph.D. psychologist with specialized training from the University of Connecticut. I help teenagers and college students with anxiety. I provide personalized, skills-based support designed to build confidence, resilience, and emotional well-being. My passion is guiding clients to unlock their inner strengths and develop lasting tools for a happier, healthier life. I am here to help if you are ready to take the next steps toward positive change for yourself. Follow me on Instagram: @hellodrnilani https://www.instagram.com/hellodrnilani/
In our first session, we will take some time to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy. I will ask about your experiences and any challenges you are facing, and we will discuss your goals together. This is a relaxed, judgment-free space where you can share at your own pace. From there, we will start creating a plan that feels right for you and helps you feel more empowered and in control.
One of my greatest strengths is helping clients learn tools to use right away. My approach is hands-on and tailored, so every strategy fits the individual’s unique needs and lifestyle.
I am here to support teens and college-aged students in a caring and understanding space that feels safe and comfortable. Since I work exclusively through telehealth, we can connect conveniently from wherever you feel most at ease—right at home or from your dorm room. My ideal clients are motivated young people ready to take on challenges, improve communication, and build lasting skills. In our work together, you will find a warm, supportive space to grow confidence, learn new tools, and create positive change that lasts. I am here to support you every step of the way if you are a young person eager to learn, adapt, and thrive. A Caring Note: Your safety and well-being are very important to me. If you are experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicide, it is really important to seek in-person support where you can get immediate and comprehensive care. While I am glad to support many concerns through telehealth, I do not provide telehealth treatment for self-harm or suicidality. I gently encourage you to connect with local resources or providers who can offer the kind of in-person care and support you deserve during these challenging times. You are not alone, and help is available.
I use a mix of different therapy methods that fit your unique needs. Together, we will find the best tools with what you are working on in therapy.
