Greetings! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Hypnotherapist practicing in Connecticut. I obtained my Masters Degree from Columbia University. I have approximately 22 years of counseling-related work experience in a variety of settings (hospitals, schools, and community mental health settings). In 2009, I became intrigued with holistic healthcare and began to incorporate different aspects of the mind, body, soul connection into my clinical practice.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
During our first session, we will get to know one another. I answer questions to help build trust, safety and a positive rapport with my clients. We will complete an initial assessment where I hope to find out more about your needs and the specific challenges you are facing. We will also discuss your goals and desired outcome from therapy. We then create a tailored plan for your therapeutic journey. Starting therapy can be an anxiety inducing experience; therefore, transparency is an important aspect of our work together. I encourage my clients to ask questions and provide feedback throughout th process.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My greatest strengths as a provider is my empathy and intuitive nature. I use these strengths to ask my clients thought provoking questions to assist them in developing confidence to process challenges and deep dive into their layers of consciousness. With an open heart and mind, I am able to meet clients where they are on their trajectory. My goal is to allow each client to feel safe and supported. My hope is that they will know their individuality and human value are so important to the life experience.

Integrative
I offer an integrative approach to psychotherapy to meet the client exactly where they are on their therapeutic journey. Integrative therapy provides personalized and well rounded framework to address clients mind, body and spirit. This type of therapy can assist with a wide range of short and long term issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma and addictions. Person-centered therapy, psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy are three common modalities that are utilized in my Integrative Psychotherapy practice.
Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis is an ancient art with a rich and varied history. I offer hypnotherapy to treat a wide variety of psychological and physiological issues. Hypnotherapy addresses the mind body connection so it is particularly helpful in treating trauma by reducing/eliminating flashbacks and dissociation as well as physical responses to the trauma. Hypnosis has been used to eliminate addictions, improve anxiety, build confidence, assist in pain management, weight loss, smoking cessation and more. It can also be utilized to explore deeper into the subconscious through age regression and past life regression.
