What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will complete a brief intake to gather some background information. This gives us a better idea of what the presenting problem is and how you would like for it to be different. Together, we will then use this insight to build therapy goals and create a plan of how we will attain those goals.

My clients benefit from the support and understanding that I provide, which helps them to create their own insights into life’s problems. At this time, I am only able to provide Telehealth services to individuals located in CT.

I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns that influence their emotions and behaviors. By working collaboratively, we focus on reshaping unhelpful beliefs and developing practical coping strategies to address various issues, from anxiety and depression to stress management. CBT empowers clients to take an active role in their healing, fostering resilience and promoting lasting change through targeted, solution-focused interventions.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

In my therapy practice, I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness skills. By combining acceptance strategies with change-focused interventions, I work with clients to manage intense emotions, reduce self-destructive behaviors, and improve relationships. DBT is particularly effective in treating conditions such as borderline personality disorder, mood disorders, and trauma, offering clients practical tools for managing life’s challenges while fostering a sense of balance and well-being.
