(she/her)
I'm Mecaila, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Connecticut with over six years of experience helping individuals navigate life's challenges and create meaningful, lasting change. I founded Therapy Studio with the belief that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. The vision of my practice is to provide a personalized and supportive space where therapy can be tailored to fit the unique needs, goals, and experiences of each client. I specialize in working with high-achieving individuals experiencing burnout, anxiety, stress, perfectionism, and major life transitions. I am also passionate about supporting individuals experiencing pregnancy, postpartum adjustment to life changes, motherhood, fatherhood, grief, loss, chronic illness, and evolving life roles. My personality as a therapist is warm, authentic, and down-to-earth. I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves, while also feeling supported, challenged, and empowered to grow. I believe therapy works best when there is a genuine connection, and I aim to bring compassion, curiosity, and a touch of humor into our work together when appropriate.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, so my goal is to make our first session feel like a conversation rather than an interrogation. We'll spend time getting to know each other, exploring what brings you to therapy, and discussing the challenges you're currently facing. I'll ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, and goals, while giving you space to share what feels most important. You don't need to have everything figured out before you arrive. Together, we'll begin identifying what support looks like for you and create a plan that feels realistic, personalized, and aligned with your goals. My hope is that you leave the session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead.
What sets my approach apart is my ability to balance compassion with practical, actionable support. I understand that many of my clients are high-achieving individuals who spend much of their lives caring for others, meeting expectations, and pushing through challenges. While insight is important, I believe therapy should also provide tangible tools that help you feel better and function more effectively in your day-to-day life. I take a personalized approach, recognizing that no two clients are the same. At Therapy Studio, I tailor treatment to your unique needs, strengths, and goals rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all model. My style is warm, authentic, and down-to-earth, creating a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself while also being challenged to grow. Whether you're navigating burnout, a major life transition, pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, or simply feeling overwhelmed by the demands of life, my goal is to help you find greater balance, resilience, and peace while building a life that feels aligned with your values.
I truly enjoy working with adults from all walks of life. Whether you're just starting in college or navigating significant life transitions like retirement or the loss of a loved one. Many of my clients are motivated to make positive changes but feel they lack the tools to make it happen. They often find themselves feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or anxious about their careers or major life changes. My goal is to help you break through those barriers, build confidence, and develop the skills to create real, lasting balance in your life. Together, we can work through challenges and find the clarity and direction you need to move forward with a renewed sense of purpose and peace.
