Michelle DAmico
Life is messy. Let’s talk about it. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment to help guide you through struggles you may be experiencing.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. When working with anxiety and depression, I help clients identify negative thought patterns, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and develop healthier ways of thinking and responding to situations. Through practical coping strategies, reframing techniques, and behavioral changes, I support clients in managing symptoms, building confidence, and improving their overall emotional well-being.
Narrative
I use Narrative Therapy to help clients explore and better understand the stories they tell themselves about their lives, experiences, and relationships. Through this approach, I help clients identify patterns, challenge negative beliefs, and separate themselves from the problems they are facing. By exploring different perspectives and recognizing their strengths, I support clients in creating more empowering narratives, building self-awareness, and making meaningful changes that align with their values and goals.
Strength-Based
I use a Strengths-Based approach to help clients recognize and build upon their unique strengths, abilities, and personal resources. Rather than focusing solely on challenges or difficulties, I work collaboratively with clients to identify what is going well, explore past successes, and develop confidence in their ability to overcome obstacles. Through this approach, I support clients in building resilience, increasing self-awareness, and making meaningful changes that align with their personal values and goals.
