New to Grow
Hello I am Dr. Bolling and I would like to be your therapist. My favorite client is someone that doesn't believe change may be possible for them. I work with professional individuals that have demanding successful lives and alcohol and/or substance use may have become a concern that they want to decrease or stop completely. I work from a Strengths Based Harm Reduction therapeutic model which incorporates CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing to explore the pros and cons associated with the decision to make changes on your timeframe from your perspective. I work with individuals, couples and families to improve communication and understanding through the use of the Open Dialogue clinical approach.
Hi our first session will be a two- way discussion between two people getting to know each other and exploring the benefits of non-judgmental communication. My only goal is to provide a safe space for open and honest communication. Your decision to take this big step in exploring the therapeutic process will be met with respect and appreciation.
My approach is to combine thought provoking dialogue supported by evidenced based therapeutic techniques coupled with real life exercises to increase emotional health and well being while promoting realistic change -oriented goals for personal success. You will be meeting with a real person that has strong clinical background of over 33 years of professional, academic and genuine life experience. My qualifications include a Doctoral degree in Clinical Social Work with Specialization in Mental Health and Substance use treatment, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NY and Connecticut. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and M-CASAC with a gambling credential.
The ideal client is someone who is seeking to navigate life challenges openly and honestly with a caring compassionate therapist whose primary purpose is to support your journey for change from a non-judgmental strength- based perspective. My ideal client seeks to learn coping skills to reduce unwanted actions and behaviors associated with emotional dysregulation associated with anger management, mental health, substance use and/or physical health concerns.
