New to Grow
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC-D) and CASAC with experience working with adults and adolescents in outpatient and private practice settings. I support clients who may be struggling with anxiety, mood disorders, substance use, ADHD, personality disorders, and life stressors. My goal is to create a supportive and non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable exploring their challenges while developing practical skills for growth and lasting change.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In the first session, we will focus on getting to know each other and discussing what brings you to therapy. I will ask questions about your current concerns, background, and goals so we can begin to understand how to best support you. The goal is to create a comfortable, supportive space where you feel heard and we can begin developing a plan that fits your needs.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths are my ability to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being open and honest. I combine empathy with practical, evidence-based approaches like CBT, MI, and DBT to help clients better understand their thoughts, manage emotions, and build healthier coping skills. My focus is on helping clients feel empowered and supported as they work toward meaningful and lasting change.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are individuals who may be struggling with anxiety, mood changes, substance use, or life stressors and are ready to better understand themselves and make positive changes. Many may feel overwhelmed, stuck in unhealthy patterns, or unsure how to manage their emotions and relationships. I work best with clients who are open to self-exploration and want practical tools to improve their emotional well-being and create meaningful change in their lives.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I use a person-centered approach to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and respected. Through empathy, active listening, and unconditional positive regard, I support clients in exploring their thoughts and emotions while guiding them toward greater self-awareness, personal growth, and healthier coping strategies.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. In my practice, I work with clients to identify unhelpful thinking patterns and develop healthier ways of thinking and coping. CBT allows clients to build practical skills to manage stress, improve emotional regulation, and make positive changes in their daily lives.
