My goal is to help you break free from the cycle of stress and anxiety through practical techniques and personalized strategies for growth. With a background in mindfulness, meditation, and psychedelic-assisted therapy, I take a holistic approach to therapy. I bring over seven years of experience providing mental health care in the Los Angeles area. I work with individuals, families, and children who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and life transitions. My approach is holistic and client-centered, and I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities to thoughtfully tailor treatment to each person’s unique needs. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and collaborative space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow and heal at their own pace.
The symptoms and sensations of post-traumatic stress, anxiety, grief, and depression can often feel debilitating, and may leave us bereft of hope that things will ever get better. My main goal and focus is to facilitate healing and collaborate with clients to carve out a path towards a greater sense of inner peace, meaning, and connection. I find that cultivating psychological flexibility and emotional regulation will often facilitate this endeavor and aim to guide and support my clients to this end. I embrace an eclectic approach to psychotherapy, borrowing from multiple traditions and theories of treatment. I tend to use psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I am a strong advocate of integrative psychology and finding creative solutions to life's challenges and stressors.

Hi, my name is Brent Batter and I am a licensed marriage family therapist that has been practicing with many diverse groups of clients for 16 years now. I received my master's degree from Cal State Hayward and since been working with age ranges of teenagers through persons in their '80s, both male and female, clients with legal issues, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, career decisions/troubles, and I have a passion for working with and seeing clients exceed the goals that they have for themselves.
I am an LCSW and a military veteran specializing in trauma and addiction. I believe that effective therapy must be a safe foundation, built on unwavering commitment and ethical practice. My practice is a collaborative space where rapport is established through trust while a custom plan of treatment is mutually established specifically for resolving resistance to your wellness and achieving long-term stability.
*I only work with individuals, no couples, no minors (under 18)*
Trained in a range of therapeutic approaches, I am available to help clients navigate trauma, anxiety, relational issues, communication skills, depression, and stress management . As a first generation Eritrean American born and raised in the Bay Area, I struggled with a sense of belonging throughout my adolescence, often straddling the line between multiple identities and insecurities surrounding the idea of not being “American enough" and not being “African enough.” Early on in college, I took a psychology class that helped me further understand the human condition and its applications in my own life. I learned transformative concepts in terms of moods, relationships, and behaviors, prompting me to further pursue the field of psychology. Since then, I have taken it upon myself to get advanced training in various therapeutic approaches, which I believe help clients get the most out of their therapy experience.
I’m a therapist who primarily works with men dealing with relationship struggles, trauma, and anxiety that’s started to affect work, family, and daily life. I’ve worked in a men’s trauma center as well as in private practice, so I’m very comfortable sitting with the heavier stuff that most guys have learned to keep to themselves. My style is direct, non‑judgmental, and very relational, think real conversation, honest feedback, and a focus on what actually helps you feel and live better, not just “talking about your feelings” for an hour.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in the state of California. I received my Master's Degree from Antioch University Los Angeles and have been practicing for 18 years. I am dedicated to helping clients achieve their treatment goals and improve their overall quality of life. I work with adults and older adults from diverse backgrounds and cultures, offering therapy in both English and Spanish.
My clinical journey began over 15 years ago and was deeply shaped by my own recovery from substance use disorders. This experience led me to reevaluate my life and pursue service within the recovery community, beginning with involvement in 12-step programs and eventually moving into clinical work. This path has given me a strong foundation in understanding resilience, healing, and the courage it takes to seek meaningful change.
Today, I am passionate about supporting clients navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, and substance use and addiction concerns. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices, with a strong belief in meeting clients where they are.

I have also worked for Orlando Health at the Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies covering the ED/Triage, antepartum and postpartum units of the hospital. My name is Manuel Cruz and I have been practicing for almost 20 years. I have worked in a variety of settings from schools to hospitals treating various mental health conditions. Hello, my name is Michael Chavez, LCSW, and I provide individual therapy to adults facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, work related stress, and relationship issues. I understand how tough life can be. Before I became a therapist, I went through my own challenges — unhoused, unemployed, and struggling with substance use. Getting sober and working my way through college wasn’t easy, but it shaped the way I show up for others now: with understanding, patience, and zero judgment.
I’m a Marriage and Family Therapist who works with thoughtful individuals and couples who work hard yet still feel anxious. Many are looking for more than surface-level coping skills—they want deeper understanding and lasting change. Many of the people I work with are navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, or big questions about meaning, purpose, and identity—often while holding demanding roles in their personal or professional lives.
In addition to my clinical work, I teach couples counseling as an adjunct professor at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). Teaching keeps me grounded in both theory and practice, and it reflects how much I genuinely enjoy helping people understand relationships more deeply—whether that’s learning how conflict works, how attachment shapes connection, or how to communicate with more honesty and care.
I also bring an unconventional but deeply human element into my work: humor. I’m a comedian outside the therapy room, and when used thoughtfully, humor can help lower defensiveness, build trust, and make difficult conversations feel more approachable. Therapy doesn’t have to be heavy all the time to be meaningful.
I have particular experience working with healthcare workers and others in high-pressure systems, including those balancing responsibility, burnout, and emotional fatigue while still needing to function at a high level. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded, integrating attachment-based, somatic, mindfulness-based, and practical strategies tailored to each client.
Above all, I aim to create a space where people feel safe, understood, and free to explore what really matters to them—at their own pace, and with curiosity rather than judgment.
All things are interconnected. To feel better, you have to act better. To feel better, you have to think better. To think better, you have to feel better. To act better, you have to think better. To think, feel, and act better, you have to care for your physical health. To care for your physical health, you have to think, feel, and act better. Each has a corresponding effect on the other. However, the aspect of ourselves that we have the most direct control of is what we do, our acting. While we can influence other people, we cannot control other people. A great source of conflict and unhappiness results from our efforts to control others. If you want better relationships, the only thing we can control is what we do, how we choose to relate. We are responsible for what we do. Others are responsible for what they do. Accepting this fundamental reality and thinking, feeling, and acting in accordance with it is how we increase our experience of power, freedom, belonging, meaning and, very importantly, fun.
My professional experience includes over 30 years of post-Master’s clinical work, including leadership experience in foster care, chemical abuse and addiction, inpatient and outpatient mental health services, and crisis intervention, de-escalation, and hospitalization. I am experienced in working with ages three through the elderly. I have worked extensively with youth and families, diverse populations and life issues, providing services in various settings, including family homes, schools, juvenile detention facilities, jails, outpatient clinics, and inpatient psychiatric facilities.
I am a licensed professional in California with extensive experience in the mental health industry. With 6 years of dedicated work and an additional 10 years of complementary experience, I have worked in various settings including the criminal justice system, high-acuity psychiatric units, applied behavioral analysis, geriatrics, substance abuse facilities, and PHP/IOP/RTC levels of care. Thank you for considering me as your therapist.

Greetings,
Life can be confusing, relationships can be stressful, and the present can make you feel anxious or depressed. Sometimes a painful past can surface into the moment, especially when situations are difficult or when you are experiencing major change. During these periods your mood and thoughts can be affected in negative ways. When you are feeling alone, disconnected, or confused, talking things through can make all the difference.
I work with anyone struggling to find joy, peace, and fulfillment. I offer a safe, inviting space for you to share thoughts and feelings, to vent, to feel heard, and to reorient to meaning. Please allow me to assist you finding relief and clarity. I will meet you where you are at and welcome you. I address healing on multiple levels of the body-mind connection with a focus on the notion that caring about something or someone along with experiencing meaning can counterbalance the effects of hurt, a disturbing past, or a present stressful situation or transition.
I have more than 20 years of experience helping clients navigate major change and transition, gain closure, and create new beginnings. I apply interventions from a mind-body-being perspective and assess current life stressors to distinguish between situational mood and thought disturbances from those enduring and a consequence of previous hurt or trauma.

You might be at a turning point—drained by people or work, cut off from the sense of purpose that used to guide you, or trying to make sense of a major life change. You may feel anxious, a bit obsessive at times, or weighed down by depression or habits that keep you stuck. Maybe you’ve built a life that looks fine on the surface but feels misaligned underneath. You might catch yourself wondering why you can’t just feel better despite all your effort, knowing that more of the same “success” won’t make you happy.
These are the kinds of crossroads I help people navigate. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Sacramento, California, providing emotional and behavioral support to individuals facing personal and professional challenges, and moving through major life transitions. Years in community mental health and residential treatment taught me how to support people through recovery from addiction, trauma, and complex mental health challenges. Before that, I spent 15 years in the arts and culture field and non-profit sector in Washington, D.C.—work that exposed me to the pressures, expectations, and burnout that high-performing professionals often carry. These experiences shape how I understand the worlds my clients move through and the weight they’re trying to set down.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have extensive experience working with diverse populations in different community settings. I have adapted different approaches in my clinical work to fit with the populations that I serve. As a therapist, I work to help make clients feel grounded and supported in our session appointments. I strive for authenticity when working with others. I try to help clients value honesty within themselves and in others. I hope to be able to facilitate growth and change in our time together.
Hello! My name is Benjamin. I'm located in Northern California and serve clients across the state through teletherapy. My approach with clients focuses on creating goals, building hope, and embracing the uncertainty of change.

Hi! My name is Justin Do and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California. I received my Masters from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and I have been practicing for 7+ years. I primarily focus on utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients overcome anxiety, depression, addiction, life transition, etc., by helping clients understand their own thought patterns, that trigger these distress, challenge them, create new more functional beliefs.
I am a husband, father, and twin brother (I have and identical twin sister). I am also a reiki master and hypnotherapist. When I am not conducting psychotherapy (talk therapy), I enjoy conducting past life regressions to help people resolve past life trauma. I also use hypnotherapy to heal trauma. Hypnotherapy is not covered by most insurances and may result in cash pay. I enjoy helping people identify their wants and needs so they can then identify their goals and dreams. I believe we all have had experiences that have stifled our self-confidence which then causes us to doubt our ability. I enjoy helping people discover that part of themselves that is hidden as a result. I believe the world is a collective of people. We need to take care of ourselves, each other, and the animals we share this planet with. I DO NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPT COUPLES FOR MARRIAGE COUNSELING.
I’m John Baker, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California, specializing in trauma, relationships, and high-stress life transitions, including related issues such as anxiety, depression, and grief. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over two decades in military service, federal law enforcement, and corporate investigations, experiences that shaped my direct, grounded, and accountability-focused approach to therapy.
I work with individuals and couples navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, relationship conflict, and the long-term impact of high-responsibility roles, including first responders, veterans, and professionals. My work integrates evidence-based and trauma-informed modalities such as CBT, Brainspotting, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), somatic approaches, and structured couples work.
Clients often describe me as calm, practical, and attuned—someone who understands both the psychological and real-world pressures they face. My goal is to help you move from surviving to functioning with greater clarity, emotional regulation, and connection, while respecting your pace and strengths.

Most people reach a point in life where the old ways of coping stop working, relationships feel harder than they should, or the weight of loss, stress, or self‑doubt becomes too heavy to carry alone. My work is dedicated to helping adults navigate these moments with clarity, compassion, and a renewed sense of possibility. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) specializing in trauma-informed care, relationship and attachment dynamics, and anxiety, depression, and stress management. I offer evidence based, collaborative support to help you understand your patterns, reconnect with your strength, and build self compassion.
As someone who has struggled with self-esteem and identity issues, I can help you re-frame self-defeating thoughts, resolve unconscious inner conflicts, and learn to value and trust your own experience. Therapy can help you feel more authentic, alive, and confident. I don't have the answers for anyone. What I might be able to help with are the questions you may have if you experience anxiety, depressed mood, conflict in your relationship, or if you find feeling good about yourself to be a challenge you can't quite resolve on your own. It takes courage to ask for help. No one really likes feeling vulnerable, including me. But being vulnerable with another person, and with ourselves, is a proven way to repair unhealed wounds and repair the damage life causes.
I am a licensed bilingual psychologist (Khmer and English) with a passion for helping people explore themselves deeply, understand their relationships, and grow into their fullest potential. My approach blends humanistic, insight-oriented, and experiential therapies, including talk therapy, drama therapy, play, and expressive arts. I create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients can slow down, reflect, and explore who they truly are.
I work with immigrants, BIPOC individuals, and anyone navigating identity, transition, cultural stress, or existential anxiety as well as people seeking deeper self-understanding and meaningful growth. Many of my clients come looking for ways to process difficult experiences, explore relationships creatively, or develop resilience in the face of challenges. I work with people with various backgrounds ranging from college students to mental health worker themselves.
My approach is deeply shaped by my own experiences growing up in Cambodia. As my parents taught me and my siblings: “It is not the world of survival of the fittest, but the world where you always need to be a little kinder than necessary.” Like many Cambodian families, ours lived through the aftermath of the Khmer Rouge, facing loss, suffering, and hardship. Yet my parents always found ways to give, even when resources were scarce. Their example of kindness and generosity became a core teaching in my life, and it now guides my work as a therapist.
Practicing kindness, compassion ,deep listening, presence, cultural humility, and sensitivity is central to how I support clients. I believe most of us are doing the best we can, and when we cannot see that in ourselves or others, life becomes more difficult. Therapy becomes a place where people can engage with themselves fully, let go of self-judgment, and cultivate self-compassion.
