Hello, I’m a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) in the California and received my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Cal Baptist University in Riverside, Ca. and have over 15yrs of practice. I help combat veterans and first responders work through their struggles that are often associated from their traumatic experiences. This leads to helping with improving their quality of life.
I’m a laid-back, soft spoken type of therapist that wants to get to know my clients before delving into their struggles and identifying what their goals are.
I have over 15yrs of experience working with combat veterans and individuals that survived sexual trauma and have been diagnosed with PTSD. I am able to help the client manage their symptoms in more of a positive and healthy manner.
I enjoy working with those that have survived trauma and helping them find the joys in life that they feel the trauma may have taken away. Trauma, no matter the severity, changes people, from mental to physical change, I help them also understand they are not alone.
Work with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression and/or anger. This is accomplished by assisting clients with developing coping strategies and problem-solving skills that address their specific challenges.
This is often used with the clients internal motivation to change. Its achieved through open-ended questions, supportive listening, and affirmations that help the clients identify their own motivations and develop momentum.
