I enjoy working collaboratively to develop goals that are realistic, meaningful, and lead to positive change. I view therapy as a journey—one that helps you find steadier footing and supports you as you move along your unique path. Although much of my background has been in public service settings working with severe mental illness, acute crises, and trauma, I welcome concerns of any size. No problem is too small or too overwhelming to bring into therapy. I invite you to give the therapy process a chance to work for you! I have been in the behavioral health field for more than 30 years and have been licensed since 2012. I have a practical, down-to-Earth style with an open-minded, solution focused approach. There is likely no issue too complicated or difficult for me to work with. I like to establish a clear treatment path with attainable goals, making it easier for you. I encourage you to give the therapy process a chance to work for you. My goal is to offer steady support and thoughtful guidance as you discover a healing path that truly fits your life. While life can be challenging, you don’t have to navigate it alone—therapy can provide a safe space to find clarity, resilience, and hope.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session will focus on gathering information, exploring the factors that may influence your therapeutic goals, and establishing the initial structure and expectations for our work together. It is also an opportunity for us to get to know one another and determine whether we are a good fit for a collaborative therapeutic relationship. It is completely normal to have questions, hesitations, or uncertainties about starting therapy. My aim during our first session is to provide clarity about the process, address your concerns, and help you feel more confident about the path ahead. By the end of our meeting, you should have a clear understanding of what to expect and how we can move forward in a way that supports your well-being and goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a down-to-earth, practical approach to therapy, grounded in a solution-focused style that is clear, direct, and easy to understand. Although my approach may differ from that of other clinicians, it has consistently supported clients in achieving positive and empowering outcomes. I also recognize that each individual has unique needs, and I am able to adapt my therapeutic style to align with what works best for you.

I provide supportive counseling and guidance to work on and make progress with your treatment goals. With over 30 years of experience in the field on mental health treatment, and nearly half of that as a licensed clinician, there is very little that I am not prepared to work with.
