(he/him)
Hello, my name is Alberto Campos. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker passionate about helping individuals live healthy, safe, and fulfilling lives. I am dedicated to a life-long journey of informing communities about mental health and creating a safe space for healing to transpire. My focus is on helping clients gain insight and awareness into themselves, their challenges or barriers, and relationships, so they can become active agents of change in their lives. I hold a background in working with diverse populations providing psychotherapy and conducting psychological evaluations for outpatient, school, and forensic settings with adults, adolescents, and families. My focus is to strengthen the individual's capacity and internal resources to overcome life and mental health challenges.
During our first session, we’ll spend time talking through what led you to seek therapy and what you’re hoping to get out of the process. I’ll ask about what’s been going on in your life recently, any past experiences with therapy, and what has or hasn’t been helpful before. We’ll also review confidentiality, my approach to treatment, and how sessions typically flow. My goal is for you to leave the first meeting feeling heard, clear about what to expect, and confident that we have a starting point that fits your needs.
I hold a background in working with diverse populations providing psychotherapy and conducting psychological evaluations for outpatient, school, and forensic settings, with adults, adolescents, and families. I have experience providing clinical services to adults and youth experiencing challenges including anxiety, depression, addiction, mood regulation, negative thoughts, and problem-solving. I am certified by the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy (ACBT) to implement Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Other certifications and training include CBT for Psychosis, Thinking for a Change, and Families OverComing Under Stress.
I feel comfortable working with any adult individual navigating hardships, overcoming stress, and wanting to become a healthier version of themselves. I am best positioned to serve adults experiencing symptoms related to depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. I am also best positions to assist individuals experiencing family and interpersonal conflict, life transitions, trauma, and severe stress. I work with individuals who are ambivalent towards change, returning to treatment, and are starting mental health treatment for their first time.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I am a certified CBT therapist through the Academy of Cognitive Behavior Therapies (A-CBT) and have over five years of experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my clinical practice. My approach is collaborative, structured, and goal-oriented, helping clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns while developing practical coping strategies to improve emotional regulation and behavior. I tailor CBT interventions to each client’s needs, integrating psychoeducation, skills practice, and between-session exercises to support lasting, measurable change.

I was assigned this provider, and I asked to see him as soon as I could. Recent changes and things that have been happening have led me to where I need to be. So far he is absolutely awesome and I can't wait to progress further.
