LCSW-C, 6 years of experience
Welcome! I’m Jelisa, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) based in Baltimore, MD. I have professional experience in both social work and public health. I earned a Master of Social Work degree in 2018 from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and a Bachelor of Science in Community Health in 2011 from the University of Maryland, College Park. My experience includes working in community mental health, child welfare, and conducting community outreach in Baltimore.
The initial session will focus on building rapport, completing a biospscyhosocial assessment, and collaborating to identify treatment goals.
My personal interests include immersing myself in nature, going to the beach, reading, and learning about different cultures. I am open-minded and provide a non-judgmental space for you to share your story. I live in Maryland and previously lived in Hawaii. In Hawaiian culture, “talk story” refers to the sharing of stories and information to foster connection and share wisdom. Come talk story with me. If you have any questions, please feel free to visit my calendar to schedule a consultation. “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” - Maya Angelou
