New to Grow
Hey there! If anxiety, chronic stress, sleep struggles, or difficulty staying focused are wearing you down — I can help! I help adults find clarity, calm, and practical tools that make life feel more manageable. Many of the people I see are doing “fine” on the outside but feel overwhelmed, stuck in their heads, or exhausted on the inside. Therapy with me is a space to slow things down, talk things through, and feel supported without pressure or judgment. I am also well-equipped to help those seeking support in overcoming trauma, relationship difficulties, depression, life transitions, substance use, and controlling their emotions. My style is practical, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy, so we focus on what’s actually getting in your way and build tools you can use in real life. Sessions are conversational and tailored to your goals. I care deeply about creating an inclusive, affirming space and enjoy working with clients from diverse backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ individuals. If you’re feeling anxious, burned out, having trouble sleeping or focusing, or just feel “off,” therapy can be a helpful place to start. I look forward to connecting!
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy. We’ll discuss what’s been going on, what you’re hoping to change, and any questions or concerns you may have. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your experiences, and together we’ll start identifying goals and next steps. You can expect a calm, supportive, and collaborative conversation focused on helping you feel understood and setting a direction for our work moving forward. Over the course of our first three (3) sessions, we will collaboratively develop a personalized treatment plan that we will utilize for our work together. We will use it as a blueprint towards your wellness and healing!
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I work towards creating a calm, supportive space where clients feel comfortable being honest and themselves. I’m able to meet people where they are and help make complicated thoughts or emotions feel more manageable and easier to understand. Former clients appreciate my flexibility in allowing space to talk and process, while also balancing this with learning/utilizing therapeutic tools. I’m especially strong at blending insight with practical tools. Rather than just talking about problems, we focus on a combination of what will actually help you in daily life—whether that’s managing anxiety, improving sleep, or staying more focused and organized. I tailor my approach to each client, adjusting techniques to fit your goals, personality, and pace. Clients often tell me they appreciate my collaborative and straightforward style. I’m engaged in sessions, ask thoughtful questions, and offer feedback when it’s helpful, while still respecting your autonomy. I also value cultural awareness and inclusivity, and work intentionally to create an affirming space where clients from diverse backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ individuals, feel understood and supported. Further, I have extensive training in using evidence-based techniques for mental health concerns. These techniques have been proven to be highly effective in reducing distress and impairment. My Ph.D. degree means that I spent more dedicated time in training and have a deep understanding of psychological research as it relates your concerns.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
You may feel that you are constantly anxious, overwhelmed, or mentally drained, even if you appear to be managing well on the outside. You may struggle with overthinking, stress, poor sleep, or staying focused, and feel frustrated that these challenges keep showing up in daily life. I also frequently see clients who are struggling with overcoming trauma, depression, relationship issues, substance use issues, and controlling their emotions. I work best with people who want practical support and are open to understanding themselves better—not just talking, but learning tools they can actually use. Many of my clients want to reduce anxiety, improve sleep, manage ADHD-related challenges, and feel more grounded and confident in their day-to-day lives. I also enjoy working with clients from diverse backgrounds and strive to create an affirming, inclusive space, including for LGBTQ+ individuals. Whether you’re feeling burned out, stuck, or simply ready for things to feel more manageable, I’m well positioned to support you.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I am trained in utilizing CBT for a variety of mental health presentations. Additionally, I often incorporate elements of acceptance (ACT) and dialectical (DBT) approaches when appropriate for the client.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I have a strong background in using ACT with clients across demographics and presentations. I commonly use mindfulness, meditation, mindful breathing, and metaphors when using ACT with my clients.
