New to Grow
I have a passion for helping individuals and couples navigate their mental health journeys. I offer virtual therapy sessions, making it convenient for you to receive support from the comfort of your own space. Fluent in both English and Swahili. My journey to becoming a provider has been both personal and deeply meaningful. I have always been drawn to the idea of walking alongside others in their process of healing, growth, and transformation. For me, therapy is not just a profession—it's a calling. The ability to witness another person's story unfold, to hold space for their pain.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our first session, my focus is on helping you feel comfortable and supported. I understand that starting therapy can bring a mix of emotions—hope, curiosity, or uncertainty. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where you can share openly. We'll explore what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're facing, and your goals.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My communication style centers on active listening and empathy. I strive to create a safe and respectful space where clients feel heard and understood. During sessions, I provide thoughtful feedback, reflect on what's shared, and collaborate with clients to clarify thoughts, emotions, and goals. My tone is calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I recognize that every client's story is unique, shaped by personal experiences, culture, and environment. My approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and collaboration. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore difficult emotions, build coping strategies, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my work, I often draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a structured, evidence-based approach that helps clients recognize how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are interconnected. I collaborate with clients to identify unhelpful thinking patterns, gently challenge distortions, and develop practical, present-focused strategies for emotional regulation and healthier coping. My approach to CBT is active, skills-based, and tailored to each client’s lived experience, with an emphasis on building insight, resilience, and sustainable change.
