Life can shift quickly, often in ways we don’t expect. I specialize in navigating these changes, working with people who are facing anxiety, major life transitions, and unexpected disruptions—whether related to illness, relationships, career changes, or simply figuring out who you are and where you’re headed. I believe therapy should feel supportive, human, and grounded in trust. My goal is to offer a space where you can take a breath, feel heard, and show up exactly as you are—without pressure or judgment. Regardless of what you are dealing with, you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to be in your corner and help you reconnect with your own strength when it feels hardest to find. I take a culturally sensitive and inclusive approach to therapy, where your identity, background, and experiences are respected and valued. I create a space that affirms LGBTQIA+ identities, welcomes people of all racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds, and supports neurodivergent clients and individuals with disabilities. Together, we’ll explore what you’re experiencing in a way that feels authentic, using strategies that honor who you are. My goal is for you to feel safe, understood, and supported as you grow.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially when life already feels heavy. In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and understanding what brought you in. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out! We’ll take things one step at a time. Together, we’ll talk through what’s feeling most urgent right now, identify what support looks like for you, begin building practical coping tools and self-care strategies, and start working on a plan that feels realistic, flexible, and supportive. As therapy continues, we’ll work on reducing distress, processing difficult experiences, and navigating long-term changes, while also recognizing and strengthening the resilience you already have.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My work is collaborative, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Some of the strengths I bring into my work include: a warm, relational style that emphasizes safety, trust, and empowerment; a global perspective shaped by years of work with people in crisis and diverse cultural settings; understanding and experience supporting clients with anxiety and emotional distress; a deep understanding of adolescent and young adult experiences, especially during times of transition; extensive experience in medical settings, supporting patients and caregivers from diagnosis through treatment, survivorship, or end-of-life care. Above all, I strive to be someone you feel comfortable talking to, someone who listens deeply, shows up consistently, and genuinely cares.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Many of my clients come to therapy feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to move forward. Some are newly facing a diagnosis, others are adjusting to change or grieving a loss. Some simply feel lost during a time when life was supposed to feel exciting or hopeful. Wherever you are, we’ll meet there, at your pace. I work with • Adolescents and adults navigating serious or chronic medical conditions • Young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, or distress related to life changes • Individuals coping with trauma, grief, or sudden, life-altering events • Parents, caregivers, and family members supporting a loved one through illness or loss

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to gently explore how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we’ll uncover patterns that may be holding you back and practice practical, supportive strategies to help you feel more in control and confident in your daily life. CBT is a collaborative approach, so you’ll leave each session with tools you can use right away to create positive change.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can help you face life’s challenges with curiosity and compassion. With this type of therapy, we focus on accepting difficult thoughts and feelings instead of struggling with them, while discovering the values and goals that give your life meaning. Step by step, you’ll build practical skills to live more fully and intentionally, even when things feel hard.

Grief Therapy

In Grief Therapy, I provide a compassionate and supportive space to help you navigate loss at your own pace. Together, we’ll explore the many emotions that can come with grief and find ways to cope while staying connected to what matters most to you. Grief therapy is not about moving on, but about finding meaning, healing, and support as you adjust to life after loss.

Strength-Based

Using a Strengths-Based approach can help you recognize and build on the skills and resilience you already have. Together, we’ll explore what makes you unique and use those strengths to navigate challenges, set meaningful goals, and create positive change in your life. This approach focuses on your abilities, empowering you to move forward with confidence and self-compassion.

Trauma Informed Care

In order to prioritize safety, trust, and empowerment, I use a trauma-informed approach. Our therapy sessions are guided by your pace and your sense of readiness, with an understanding of how past (and present) experiences affect your daily life. Together, we focus on building resilience, restoring a sense of control, and supporting healing in a way that feels respectful and considerate of your individual needs.
