New to Grow
What I love most about being a therapist is helping people change their lives in ways they never thought possible. I have the honor of walking alongside clients through moments of rediscovery, where they reconnect with their inner strength, challenge their life long patterns and feel whole again. I work primarily with adults and older adults, helping them heal from grief, anger, shame and change.
It takes courage to ask for support and I'm here to walk alongside you with compassion and care. I offer a safe and nurturing space to help you heal. I work to build a trusted relationship with clients starting with the first session. Together we'll focus on turning insight into meaningful action.
I have training and a personal history of tragic loss, transitions, and change. This has deepened my understanding of resilience, transition and growth. This also shapes the support I offer to clients.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Working with our values helps us remember our priorities while dealing with stressors or distress. The refocus brings us back to self and back to calm.
Compassion Focused
When dealing with grief, the medicine is relationship based on compassion. Many emotions during times of loss can overwhelm and lead to anger, shame and isolation. Compassion brings us back to connection, which brings us out of overwhelm and back to self.
Eclectic
Open minded approach to work with people who navigate in their individual way. This helps people steer their own boat, leading to empowerment and future focused goal setting.
Interpersonal
Developing skills to relate to others and to ourselves is helpful in reframing how we deal with the stuck patterns we've developed over our lives. These patterns are changeable when practiced and welcomed to our new sense of self.
Narrative
This approach helps with exploring and shaping our understanding of self, purpose and meaning. It is empowering to clients to write their own story.
