New to Grow
My main area of specialty is Trauma-Focused CBT. Lets use what you love! Moves, TV, Poetry, Music, Gardening, Pottery. We'll talk through your struggles, process your grief and your pain each week, but we'll also use your interest and passions to help us work through your pain. We'll always move at your pace and prioritize your comfort. You're not coming here because you're damaged or broken, you've showed up to this point because of a strength so let's lean in together. It might be uncomfortable at times and it can be difficult to be challenged, but if you've come this far you believe in the process to some degree. Reach out, let's see if we fit.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session will be based on how you're feeling when you arrive. If its a super heavy emotional day then we'll start by helping you feel seen and heard based on what's troubling you that day. If you come to our session feeling more anxious to share then we'll keep it light until you feel comfortable. We'll make sure you set the tone and I'll support you in whatever way makes sense for how you're feeling :)
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I suffered as a child and that follows me everyday. I can't take away the pain you've already been through but I can use my life experiences and years of studying to help guide you from our first session forward. I may not be as buttoned-up as others in my field but I can promise to be authentic every time we meet. I believe that if I'm committed to be my honest self that we can help you access the same emotional honesty and balance as well. From that place of balance I hope it'll be easier for you to see your goals and for us to help you get there :)
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
The client that fits best with me will be one who is aware they are struggling and ready to make adjustments to feel better. It will help us both more if we can identify the ways they would like their life to improve but sometimes it takes a few sessions and getting to know each other before we uncover those goals :)
Play Therapy
Whether you're a hiker, a painter, a poet/writer, love music, or just like doom scrolling :P We can use whatever your interests are and build therapy from there. Whatever your mind is drawn to can be a way to help us access the deeper parts of your joy and struggles.
Couples Counseling
I work with couples to slow things down and really see what’s going on underneath the argument's surface. We work on communication but also the patterns that keep you stuck, then things don’t just keep repeating. We can feel like our partners are our adversary when things get tough and I work with couples to feel less against one another.
Faith based therapy
I’m comfortable incorporating prayer, scripture, or just talking through things from a spiritual perspective whatever fits you. This includes talking through any religious trauma you may be struggling with.
Trauma Informed Care
All our trauma is different and all the results of that pain changes for each of us. We can help settle down those uncomfortable symptoms and explore your experiences at a pace that feels right for you.

I don't come to the table with a set plan. I look forward to guiding you to find a therapeutic approach that you feel comfortable with. As you share and we learn together, our path forward will organically present itself.
