PMHNP, 13 years of experience
New to Grow
Thank you for visiting my profile! I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. I offer diagnostic evaluations and medication management for individuals across the lifespan, using a holistic and patient-centered approach. I have worked with both adults and adolescents (14+) facing a wide range of mental health challenges. My primary clinical interests include anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, and mood disorders related to pregnancy and the postpartum period. I’m committed to creating a supportive and collaborative environment where patients feel heard, empowered, and actively involved in their treatment journey.
In our first session together, my goal is to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing your story. We'll take the time to explore your current concerns, your mental health history, and what you hope to achieve through treatment. I’ll also ask about your physical health, medications, lifestyle, and any past experiences with therapy or psychiatric care. This session isn’t about rushing into a diagnosis—it’s about building trust, understanding your unique needs, and beginning to develop a treatment plan that feels right for you. Whether you’re feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or simply ready for change, I’m here to listen and support you every step of the way.
One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my ability to build genuine, trusting relationships with patients. I approach each person with empathy, curiosity, and without judgment, which helps create a safe space for them to open up. I also take a holistic view of mental health—considering biological, psychological, social, and lifestyle factors—so I can tailor treatment plans to the individual, not just the diagnosis. Additionally, I’m highly collaborative; I listen closely, involve patients in their care decisions, and often use motivational interviewing to help them move toward meaningful, sustainable change.
I’m passionate about supporting individuals who feel stuck, confused, overwhelmed, or anxious about their mental health.
As a Psychiatric Mental Nurse Practitioner, I believe that lasting change begins with genuine connection and compassionate listening. I use Motivational Interviewing as a core part of my therapeutic approach because it empowers patients to explore their own goals, values, and readiness for change in a supportive and nonjudgmental space. This technique allows me to partner with each individual—rather than direct them—helping reduce resistance and build trust. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, or life transitions, my goal is to help you tap into your own strengths and motivation to create meaningful progress at your pace. By honoring your autonomy and meeting you where you are, I strive to make each session a safe and collaborative step forward on your path to wellness.
