"Know Thyself" Socrates, a philosopher, emphasized the importance of knowing your true self. I am a Licensed Therapist in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Kentucky with over 20 years of counseling experience. You have taken the first step to learn more about yourself and facilitate change. If you are ready to take that step, I would like to invite you to schedule a first-time appointment. There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn't. “Self-care is how you take your power back.” John Green.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions and reason(s) for therapy. Limits to confidentiality and expectations for therapy are discussed. Then, talk about the specific challenges you're facing. Once this is achieved, I create a tailored plan to work with you in follow-up sessions. There is time for questions and weekly appointments are scheduled.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my biggest strengths is working with clients with anxiety and depression. Having worked with a diversity of clients, I've developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping you (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My clients are eager to improve but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed, and anxious about daily events and professional careers. I often serve adults, older adults, and adolescents

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have utilized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for many years and have found it a useful treatment for clients with anxiety and depression. This treatment modality helps clients identify and change negative schemata in their lives that cause depression and anxiety. The strategies in CBT help the client to cope with past negative events.
