My style is explorational, affirmative and always respectful of where youâve come from and the goals youâd like to meet in the coming days. Weâll explore your life experiences--and seek to add understanding and self-compassion. I am a Board-Certified Fellow in the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress licensed in Massachusetts and Florida, and I have earned two Masters degrees--my second Masters is in Counseling Psychology.
We'll get to know each other and see if we're a good fit. We'll work together to get a sense of the people and places in your life and the reasons you're looking to therapy as an aid to better understanding.
I listen, and I give clients the time and the space to develop their thoughts and speak them in a way that not only gets their message across but also respects the journey they've been on. They can count on my respect and patience.
Along with my experience with trauma, PTSD and the after-effects of abuse, I'm an experienced clinical oncology licensed mental health counselor, recently at a major outpatient cancer treatment center. If you or someone you know is dealing with cancer, we may be a good fit. I also work with managers, executives and those occupying the C suite who find themselves experiencing Imposter Syndrome. If that sounds like you, let's talk.

Dr. Shaw is just great. We always have organic conversations that lead into all kinds of places. He's a wizard and just brings up and out things we need to discuss. I feel comfortable having these hard talks and speaking about things that do not come naturally at times. I appreciate him and just really thankful to have someone like him I can talk to, learn from, rely on to make progress in life.

Michael happens to have some of the same background as me. Same hobbies, And he seems to understand where my head is right now. It was an very interesting conversation and I hated to see the time run out. Need to talk more. I think he's going to be a good fit.
