LMHC, 17 years of experience
New to Grow
I'm a mental health counselor that specializes in supporting adults 18 and older who face challenges such as anxiety, depression, life transitions (especially college students and young adults), bipolar disorder, sleep disturbances, and women's issues. My practice is rooted in providing person-centered, compassionate and collaborative telehealth counseling tailored to each individual’s unique needs. Drawing from evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT-informed strategies, ACT, and strength-based therapy, I guide my clients through their therapeutic journey with care and mindfulness.
During our first session, I’ll take the time to understand your experiences, needs, strengths, and together we’ll create a personalized plan with clear, actionable goals. In subsequent sessions, we’ll review progress, tackle challenges, and explore strategies to manage your needs and improve well-being—all in a supportive space where humor and lightness are welcome to help you feel more relaxed.
I started out training to be a middle school ELA teacher and even spent time working as a nanny—but realized my true passion is helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions (especially college students and young adults), bipolar disorder, sleep disturbances, and women's issues. After earning my graduate degree at Lesley University, I’ve spent 15+ years guiding clients through in-home family therapy, outpatient care, PHP/IOP programs, and private practice. I blend evidence-based approaches like CBT, ACT, and DBT-informed skills with humor, relatability, and a personalized approach to help you not just cope, but thrive and create meaningful change.
Feeling stressed, stuck, sad or overwhelmed? I help college students, recent grads, and adults of all ages navigate anxiety, life transitions, and challenging emotions while building practical skills to manage stress and improve daily life. Together, we’ll turn challenges into growth, confidence, and meaningful change.
I have been trained in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in graduate school and through ongoing CEU's to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and problematic behaviors. In my practice, I use CBT techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and skill-building to help clients develop healthier coping strategies and improve daily functioning. I integrate CBT collaboratively, tailoring interventions to each client’s goals and readiness for change.
I have completed multiple CEU workshops in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and integrate its principles throughout my work with clients. I use ACT to help individuals increase psychological flexibility by developing mindfulness skills, identifying values, and taking committed action toward meaningful goals. In sessions, I support clients in learning to observe and accept difficult thoughts and emotions while focusing on what truly matters to them.
I have completed several workshops in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and incorporate DBT-informed, skills-based interventions into my practice. While not formally certified in DBT, I draw from its core skills—mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness—to help clients manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and increase resilience in daily life.
My foundation in Person-Centered Therapy comes from graduate-level training, where I developed a deep appreciation for its emphasis on empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness. I use this approach to create a supportive, nonjudgmental therapeutic environment that empowers clients to explore their experiences and move toward personal growth at their own pace.
I use Relational Therapy to help clients explore how past and current relationship patterns influence their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. This approach supports clients in understanding interpersonal dynamics and improving their connections with others.
